I interviewed, mentioned my fathers terminal illness. I suppose I could have "played it up" more. Oh well, I was definitely expecting this. Oddly, I still love Dartmouth. I'm glad many of you great people will be attending. I hope to see you there one day. [/ul]

Sorry to hear that, Fish, and good luck to you wherever you end up. From the end of your post, you sound like you want to try to transfer to Dartmouth later?

Xanatos: No, I think I'll stick with Tulane. The environmental studies EES graduate program at Dartmouth looks promising though. I see you are a current student, can you tell me anything about it?

i will probably be seeing some of you in the fall, since dartmouth is my first choice

I have been looking for you and Blu all afternoon. I am sooo sorry about the decision. You have met some wonderful friends in this process and I hope you don't let them ago. You are always welcomed with open arms in Hanover. I know that you are going someplace wonderful so I am not going to be sad for long.

Rejected. Somehow, after all that waiting with the deferral, I thought maybe there was a chance. And I sent a letter and had my guidance counselor call and sent extra stuff. I really did love Dartmouth.

I hate to even feign that I'm in a bad position here, but this really makes things harder-- it's much, much cheaper to attend Dartmouth than I would have ever imagined. Good Lord. I feel like the worst person ever for complaining about this in this thread, because so many of the wonderful people I've met have experienced some pretty considerable setbacks today, but I don't see how I'm ever going to be able to choose.

I am glad that you are keeping an open mind (what ever you do don't go back to ask the parents-you know what I mean)

I am sorry you won't be able to go to Dimensions. Hopefully Xan, Athena, WG, Kelsey, Appros could pm you to answer any questions you may have if that will help.
