Official December 10th ACT Discussion Thread

Yeah I got a 32 on the last one, but this one required reading for almost all of the passages and actual scientific knowledge for several answers. I didn’t think reading was so good either… Math should be a 36 and English probably a 33

Science…***? That was ridiculous.

English and Reading were easy. Math was medium.

But seriously, English was SOOOOO EASY. Science was extremely difficult.

Reading and english were incredibly cake

It seems like the entire test is gradually getting harder since 2008. The one from ACT’s official testbook was much easier. I scored around 31 on science for those tests but scored a 26 on the ACT two months ago… and this one same results, I had to guess over 10 questions

In comparison with october test:
english this time was easier
math this time was around same difficulty
reading this time was easier
science was A LOT HARDER

overall I think I did much better on this test.

what did you guys get for the reading test on the science passage (moon) where they ask from the passage what does “elevated bedrock” most likely mean? Im not sure if the exact word was elevated bedrock thoguh but something along those liens

Typically how many can you miss on science to get at least a 31?

Math and English were really easy. Reading was easy/medium… science suuuuuuuuuuuucked

It seems like I’m not the only one who hated the science…

The elevated bedrock one was all the debris produced from the asteroid hitting

What did every1 get on 1 of English?
Awakened?

@actstudent what was the full question?

I got awakened but im not too sure

what did you guys get for think about the science passage about the cars moving away from each other with one stationary car…I could hardly comprehend the tables and graphs

Also, for the basketball skills one - I think English number 35- what did every1 get?

what was the answer for the "certain themes ____ become, had became, or have became or becomed. I know that only become is grammatically correct but it really did not make sense in the sentence

@dfree it was like I was --------- by unfamiliar faces…

the cars passage for science was difficult… i had to rush through it too because I was running out of time

i put become

@act student
i remember that one. i was debating between it wasn’t and they weren’t. ultimately i think i went with they weren’t because basketball skills is plural but im not too sure because it wasn’t sounded “right” to me…

@12lyncjw. I did too. It didn’t sound right though. But “it” (singular) doesn’t match with skills (plural) and I found those to be the ones I was debating between
