Official December 10th ACT Discussion Thread

There was only three problems I was unsure in math,

Anyone know the answer to the log problem? I freaking forgot my log :frowning:
Then the third to last problem… And one other one I don’t remember

I got Max medium 90 for the last 1 too!

I got 4 d/j’s in the science section about Alleles and junk

Haha same! I am sooo much better with english/math than science. Reading is kinda somewhere in between though. Maybe there will be a massive curve on science, that would help.

already answered but yes

yes

talking about medians, was the lowest score to keep group a’s avg higher in the 70’s? (maybe 71 or 74 I forgot but i remember it was in the low 70’s)

2 questions:

What was the answer to that woodpecker question?..I picked “, any you” but I’m not sure if that’s correct.

Also, I didn’t finish the third reading passage with Orozco, can you guys just list some of the answers?..especially the last 5…thank you!!!

I really could have sworn that it said “to awaken in a room with unfamiliar faces” or something to that effect.

its law of logs (log a)+(logb) = (log (a*b)

log (x^2-2)

was the log one: [x(squared) + 2x]?

Addition of logs is Log x + log y = log(xy) SO i believe the answer was like log x^2- 2x

lowest score to keep avg was 71 (I think), median was 90. log one was log(X^2-2x) or whatever

Yes someone please go over the orzoco reading, that was the deciding factor if i got a 34+ on reading or not.

^ Thats what I got

Yea I think I it 74 or something like that. What did every1 get for the area around the garden? What dimensions?

36 so far. ;p

But I got destroyed by science. :frowning: And I’m supposed to be good at science. Got a 31 on it last time, and this time, I’m hoping for a 29… :(

i guessed for the area around garden

options were: 6x24, 8x18, and some others

it was either b or c, i forgot the actual answer choices but only they added up to 36 linear feet (if you subtracted the wall side) and only one of them multiplied to 144.

I think the dimensions were like 6 x 24 or something. For the avg score one, the resultant score only had to be higher than the other group, not by a full point, right?

Did anyone remember the question with the Moon stuff and why Scientists thought he could mistake it with an airplane?

So was the garden one b or c? I guessed c
