Official December 10th ACT Math Discussion

this is weird… I did the test internationally and I do not recognize any of these questions :open_mouth: …

do international students get a different paper to avoid cheating or something like that??

Okay I see. For congruent / perpendicular what were the slopes?

the paint on was 13… you would need 6.6 and then u multiply that by two and round down to 13

@lelouchFTW this Math section was exceptionally easy though…

ugh… there goes my 36

Does anyone remember the LETTER ANSWER of the log question?

It was congruent AND perpendicular. The slopes were 1 and -1

I agree. 1 and -1. Any1 else get that?

What I did for the slopes one:

I treated them as a big triangle. There was a height of six that split them down the middle. Therefore, they made isoceles right triangles. Angle measures of 45 on each side, and 90 total. Congruent and Perpendicular I believe.

I’m positive it was that. The both went up 8 and over 8

From the looks of the discussion, I did better than I initially thought! The 100+ pg Barrons review was harder than the actual exam.

@kangaroobro what barrons book did you use? And, yes, review books (the good ones like princeton and barrons) are generally much harder than their respective tests

What was the obtuse triangle one?

^something like {5,9,13}

(sin(110)*80)/sin(24) for law of sines one.

Everyone else agree?

I put 6, 9, 13 for the triangle one.
Anyone remember the LETTER answer for the log question?

@ufscicool. I agree. Any other tough ones guys,

@wcclirl444 I used The Barron’s “ACT”. There really weren’t any “trig” questions on the test. I was surprised: SOH CAH TOA FTW! :D

confirmed

@ufiscool

ufiscool and spoinkish, I got those answers too!
I now feel SO much better about my math score! :D
