Were any of the last four answers c/h lol?

The cars bit was the worst; it really tripped me up with the +/- stuff.

Over all, science was WAY harder than I thought it would be. Good thing the rest of the test was pretty easy!

I believe proctors are required to give five minute warnings. My test group asked our proctor to write start/end times as well, and a 15-minute warning in addition to the 5 minute one.

What kind of curve do you think we are looking at for science for scores 29-36?

Our proctor didn’t tell us the start and end time, and we only got a five minute warning. I wish I had asked for more warnings, because sometimes you don’t realize how much time has elapsed. I had five minutes left on science and three questions. I ended up narrowing the final question down to two answers and picking one, because I didn’t want to leave it blank in case time was called before I deciphered the answer.

Do you guys think -7 = 29??? Curve-wise?

do you think a -1 36 -2 35 -3 34 is possible

Anyone know what the letters were like for the last passage? I guessed either all A or B i can’t remember, because i ran out of time haha.

High grazed, more vegetation, less protection to erosion is that one of the answers you guys got? (btw what were the options or choices for this question)

and for the CaCO3 one what was the answer compound X right?

More vegetation would not equal less protection…it means the opposite.

I thought the Science section was INSANELY hard. Especially the last two passages. I don’t expect much higher than a 25 unless there is a massive curve.

oh okay thanks @hale also was one the answers increasing and decreasing ion radius as the atomic number increases or was it just increasing cuz idk if they gave us an interval or not? i think they jsut had for Groups 1A to 4A what was it doing? anyone wanna confirm?

@aoeder: I agree, the last two on science really came out of left field. It was disorientating to me, because obviously we had slogged through two and a half hours of testing before that, and if you weren’t going too quickly, you could easily die a little on the inside once you saw those horrifying data tables. But I think I did okay. I wept on the inside, steeled myself, and pushed through it.

@thesmiter I must say you recounted my experience on the science section with near perfection haha

how many questions did the last part of the science section have? (the ones with the CaCO3) ?

guys sooooo hard…i got like 12 wrong probbably and i got like 36 on everything else this stupid science test is going to screw us all

Does anyone think the curve is going to be more lenient than usual?

@locherandrew

I second that.

i got 32 composite (not bad for first time) but only 28 on science. CAn anybody give me advice as to how I can improve my science score?

We found this at the last minute:[ACT Test Prep - Science - YouTube](<a href=“ACT Test Prep - Science - YouTube”>ACT Test Prep - Science - YouTube)

My son’t scores were pretty much in the 26-28 range on his practice tests. He made a 31 on the real one. Hi other scores were 32-34 on practice tests but ended up being 35’s and 34’s. ( His composite was a 34) I wish we had found this earlier because he only went through the first couple of videos. But his tips on time management in this section really helped. He has NO trouble finish standardized tests and easily finished reading, math, etc. Science he said he made it in under the wire. On the other tests he had time to proofread, but not science. Anyway, I think if we had gone through all the videos it would have helped him even more, but I’m pleased with his score as it is.
