I think part D for the intervene was wrong. Some idiom error I cannot recall.

rupang818 the divisive/restricted

I don't remember the exact wording, but this was the gist:

Free speech could be seen as divisive [because people can make inflammatory statements], but there turn out to be fewer problems than in places where speech is restricted.

"We intervene with people, and we intervene in situations or processes or chains of events."

so "intervene in" is wrong?

i hope ur right since thats what i put

Er, I interpreted to mean that 'intervene in' is right...cause legal disputes are a situation/thing.

Intervene in was correct, but I think a idiomatic error occured after that part.

Thank you, Juicy Angel.
That is a really helpful website.

Mediators are standing by, to intervene in the legal disputes, despite both sides [some thing]offers for assistance."

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=offer
The act of offering: an offer of assistance.

YUP. THat's what I put.

Arggghhhhh.....I think I actually did worse on this writing section than my past ones. TTTT_______TTTTT

Oh, wow, what tricky bastards.

Sorry, but does anyone remember the word "supposition" in one of the answers?

How do you guys recognize these idiom mistakes???

They're so nitpicky.

Mediators are standing by, to intervene in the legal disputes, despite both sides [some thing]offers for assistance."

I put "For" as being the wrong one, because i thought it should be "of" not for

Idiom errors just sound like crap. I read it in my head and try to hear if it's bad.

is 750 possible with C.R -4 and writing -4?

Definitely for CR. -4 might even be 770. Writing is wierd. The essay and stuff count so I can't really tell.

the choice for the venus question was not "contrasting" two theories. It was "distinct" two theories. I picked that anyhow.

for the freedom of speech one, I put revolutionary: promoted. If freedom of speech is revolutionary, it could either be something new and radical, or it could mean that it promotes revolution. The sentence said that people WITH freedom of speech felt more at ease with the social/government stability and stuff and the people WITHOUT it felt scared that some kind of dissent would break out. Therefore, no freedom of speech meant dissent was PROMOTED

was the problem with the three consecutive numbers multiplied with a product less than a thousand an experimental or not?

assuming I got a 10 essay

I hate idiom errors. I don't speak English at home, so I'm always mixed up about them.

hey rupang.. do you mean section three as in the third section of the writing? so the essay then a writing section then another writing section right? The third section of the writing? yes I think that was experimental it was way more difficult.
