"I just think its a pity that a 4 hour test can be the determing factor of what college we want to go to"

yea its so wrong... dude if i got one less math wrong its a 760-770 instead of a 720... and like a 770 would be sucha huge edge for my reaches and ish... But i mean its a flawed system

hmm, I have a few questions about things I wasn't sure about:

writing:
- for the bird one, I said "smallest" difference because I thought it should be "a small", but it could have been E too. :/
- for Nick Carraway, I either wrote "arrived to" or "E"... I might have changed arrived to to E.
- Also, the question with the garlic warding things off? I said "has long been" because I don't think "has" and "been" can be separated? Maybe?
- Umm.. the teaching in schools question has been bothering me too. The one where teachers should teach anything that doesn't do something or shouldn't something that does... Y'know?

Math:
- 8 for red marble question
- does anyone anyone else thing 1st math grid in was REALLY, REALLY hard, and the second was fine? The first had a really long, annoying absolute value question I didn't get.. (what was the answer to that?) it was like |x-2| < 5, X-4 =? or something. um, and the stupid triangles inside triangles inside circle. I'M PRAYING IT WAS EXPERIMENTAL.

verbal:
- the two girls regard each other with shyness or fear? I think I said fear, but that was probably not true.
- Venus cannot develop because it is hot and humid, or what? Meh

"Nick Carraway" - I put "arrived to"
"garlic warding things off?" - no error

"the two girls regard each other with shyness or fear?" - I think I said they noted each other, or something to that effect. Forgot what I chose.
"Venus cannot develop because it is hot and humid, or what?" - I think I put something about carbon dioxide?

"ok collegeboard if u got 2 wrong its a 760 if u get 3 wrong its a 720. i dont get it. however, i think this test will be more forgiving cuz on the oct test.. like.. there was that one super hard grid in hence the 790. then after that there was really no second hardest tough problem. On this test, there wwere like 3 math probs that prob gave a lot of ppl trouble. So maybe then the curve would be like 770, 760, 750, 730.."

Okay the SAT works off raw points, right? so lets say a section is worth 60 raw points. If you miss two that is 57.5 (-.25 for each wrong), but collegeboard only uses integers and thus rounds up your raw score 2 wrong = 58 raw points. if you get THREE wrong you now have 56.25 wrong 3 wrong = 56 raw points off that is why the score jumps and why the scale can never be like you suggested (assuming you answered all questions).

Please answer this question, im dying to know. For the Szenchen cooking in section 10, did you guys put choice A? I need to know this!!!!

Also, my essay topic was on if we use our histories to help us today. I wrote about using history of the education civil rights movement and discrimination to help students appreciate our differences today. I also wrote about using my personal history of bullying to help me treat others with kindness. Do you guys these are good examples?

To mmeeehhh, for the bird and the garlic one, I put E for both. I hope that's right.

Also the CR section with the 3 guys making a map, was that an experimental section? Because there were so many questions with answer choices being hard vocab words. There usually isnt that many.
