Official December SAT I Forum

i remember the question about inequality and the answer choices were lines with numbers labeled. i think i chose the first one-all values greater than 1. can't remember.

can anyone confirm this one? I dont remember

What was the answer for the lewis and clark one
where they were talking about the heavens...

was the answer ironic?

ironic is it

ownage.

I had this huge debate with my gf in the car about it
I WIN

thanks jsprad

How many consecutive numbers between 0-1000 = triplets. ---> 9

How many rectangles? ---> 4+

Keep them coming guys, that is 28 out of 54

another one: the average of increase in profit (there was a chart showing the profits each year for 2-3 years)

can't remember the answer. sry

Does anyone specifically rememeber the question to the graph one for (a,b)?

was the coordinate (a,b) in the 4th quadrant?

sorry to ask, but does anyone remember any of the answer choices besides the correct answer for this one

I clearly remember that it was the ratio of the areas of the 2 circles so I put down 9:1 (No other reason for me to put this down, so I'm pretty sure about this one...)

the height is H and the diameter is D
the answer is (D+H)^2 and not (d^2)H because just plug in numbers
for instance if u plug in D=10 and H=10 the area of the cylinder would be 250pi which is 785. now plug in 10 fer D and H in the choices i think they were
d^2h
d^2 h^2
DH
(D+H)^2
the biggest choice that can fit is (D+H)^2 because thats 400 D^2H cannot work because that becomes 1000

If the diameter is d and height is h, a box that would fit a cylinder of those measurements would have dimensions of d x d x h (L x W x H). Just visualize the cylinder and box in your head and you'll get it...

I think you definitely missed something in this equation.

You are putting a box around the cylinder. A box has three dimensions. Your answer of (d+h)^2 only has two.

dude it said the smallest box that would take up the most area

wait is the box inside the cylinder or outside cus if its inside im right if its outside ur rai

the answer was d^2h

Please does anyone remember the question for (a,b)?

It was (-a, b)

for the isosceles triangle, what was the letter answer? you guys put "y=z" what was the letter that matches that answer?

one with 2 parabolas intersecting...c=-17...SAnosuke, the ratio of radii is 3:1; it did not ask for ratio of the area

blue mouse, it was E

im getting a little confused here:
in the lewis and clark passage, i chose ironic to the "heavens" question
but in the comic book passage, there was a question comparing the two passages:
i thought it said "compared to passage 2, the tone of passage 1 was more:"
and i chose the answer severe; another answer choice was analytical
other people are saying the question said "Passage 2 was more ____ than one" and the answer was either 'ironic' or 'conversational'

what was the question, or were they two separate questions?
and if the question was "Passage 2 was more ____ than one" what were the other answer choices?
