hmm sucks ok. cant do nething bout it now

Just curious, but what's the highest and lowest anyone's ever gotten with 3 wrong in math?

hey...im new in cc...i was wondering if anyone can give me tips on how to up my score in cr....i did really really really bad on it...any books??? any advice?? blog it....

i suggest buying a practice SAT book, because practicing problems can be really helpful (Princeton Review has a good one, just tests). There are other books that specialize in CR, i have a Kaplan one myself, but i'm sure there are others.

the blue book...college board book called "the official SAT study guide: for the new SAT"

December SAT I/II chatroom: dec3sat

From 1-5 AM EST and beyond. Good luck, everyone!

i know blue book, p-review and kaplan but any tips??like should i read the passage before answering the questions or while im answering

who goes to wwphsn in nj??

well....i took a psat class through princeton review and i think the lessons overlap a bit. for example, read ALL short passages. regarding the long passages, dont read the ones that are scientific or anything similar that just throws a bunch of facts at you. read the historical ones , biographical ones , etc. for the science ones, you will get the gist of the passage from looking at the questions and the lines the questions refer to (always read 5 lines before and 5 lines after the lines pertaining to the question).

this is just info that i learned from the PSAT class, and hopefully it will help you with the SAT

Or just read the passages and answer correctly, getting an 800. :) Sheesh. All this strategizing will just confuse most people further.

i think this was the exact same test as jan 07.

OMG! It is. Just look through the thread:

"im getting a little confused here:
in the lewis and clark passage, i chose ironic to the "heavens" question
but in the comic book passage, there was a question comparing the two passages:
i thought it said "compared to passage 2, the tone of passage 1 was more:"
and i chose the answer severe; another answer choice was analytical
other people are saying the question said "Passage 2 was more ____ than one" and the answer was either 'ironic' or 'conversational'"

WHAT THE F***!!!!!

What on Earth!? Can they do that??? And other people could have had the test... are they even allowed to do that!?

that's so unfair
has this ever happened before

collegeboard effed up again. lol.

for equal distance, i got (-a,-b) because it was in 3rd quadrant.

i got (-a, b) because (a, b) was already in the fourth quadrant, so a negative b would reflect it over the x axis.

it was (-a,b) because the original point was (a,b) in quadrant 4 so therefore b represented a negative integer so -b would actually be a positive integer

wendyling, (-a, -b) is the same thing as (-b, -a) if your calculating distance because it will be sqrt (a^2 + b^2) anyway.

btw I HATE COLLEGE BOARD. EVERYONE PLEASE WRITE A COMPLAINT TO THEM. I HOPE THIS DOESN'T AFFECT OUR CURVE!!!

wow this is insane!!!!!!!!! can they do that?...... wut if they had released that test

THE TEST was not released anywhere so they thought it was safe.
IF I saw this forum beforehand...
