Official December SAT I Forum

the blocks on the edge was 52, E.

lol i got the border blocks problem WRONG

I put 52 because it was divisible by 4

for the wrongheaded one, i put the one choice with second word "chicanery"

about the wrongheaded question-the second word was chicanery which means tricker or deception...so i put that as the answer

Jorje: Do you remember exactly what the question said? I don't think I get what you're saying...

And regular didn't mean customary, which is just an adjective meaning relating to customs or etiquette.

It is looking like I really bombed this math section :(

what? it couldn't have been since i think the choice was wrongheaded/chicanery

ya. i found the math a lot harder than previous SAT I math

"what was the answer for the math question with the square and how many blocks on the edge? 42?"
I got whatever the last choice was. It was divisible by 4.

oh no, wrongheaded was b, and chicanery was d

it was wrongheaded and remonstrance

i think

yup, the ans is 52 (Only one div. by 4)

i picked the chicanery answer as well.

was the marble problem 20? or 8? because I remember it was like 8 red 5 green so with the other ones its 20? Or did it ask for just red? I'm scared

what was infront of chicanery?!

i thinkthats the one i put

on mine it was d) wrongheaded...chicanery

The block one was done like this: if you have a 3x3 square it has 3+3+1+1 sides. Think about it two sides with 3 on it then the other two sides have 1 because the other two are used by the "3" sides. Therefore you need to use and x by x square in which x+x+(x-2)+(x-2) equals one of the answers. I started from 3 and moved up until i got 14+14+12+12 which is 52. The other answers dont match the ones given.

P.S. im pretty convinced thats too long of a way to do it... must be an easier way... but hey, it worked!

I thought wrongheaded and chicanery were paired up.

im pretty sure it was just 8. for the marble one. Then again, maybe i misread it, but alot of people said they had 8 after the test for one of the gridins.

chicanery was right, i believe.

yea it was wrongheaded chicanery, and something else with remonstrance.

and i dont think wrongheaded was the answer.

does anyone know what the question exactly asked?
