There was one question about the similarity between the Ming and another culture at the time, and I'm pretty sure the answer was that both had a monarchy and something else.

Good memory. The answer was that both were monarchies, but I forget what the other state was.

thanks for compiling the great list, General Rak.

My pleasure.

Wasn't it the Ming and Europe?

No, this is a different question.

I think there was one question on a key point in the protestant movement. The answer was something along the lines of crticism of the papacy.

Oh yes, there was a question regarding the khmer rouge and pol pot.
The answer was the creation of a communist state on the chinese model.

Mmmm... yes I recall this one as well.

Do you perchance know what the second Ming question is (with the answer involving monarchy)?

77/95[/url</a>].</p>

Was there a question about Adam Smith's views, the answer being laissez-faire capitalism? And one about the reason behind Martin Luther's starting the Reformation, the answer maybe being the extent of papal power? I think there was a question about the rebuilding of Europe with the Marshall Plan as a answer.

You know guys, if the people at the College Board saw our list, they'd probably choke ;-).

Very, very good.

I am overwhelmingly impressed by your memory, tamirms. You put the rest of us to shame. :)

I do remember an answer involving monarchy with a question that was comparing to empires, one of them could very well have been Ming, but I'm as unsure of as the rest of us at this point. I confirm s'vrone's questions on laissez-faire and Adam Smith as well as the marshall plan question.

Right.

That's right -- a document question where the author said that Europe couldn't sustain itself without aid

I'm sure they're aware of CC and what goes on here. ;)

Edit: 80/95[/url</a>] with the Adam Smith confirmation.

Rak, I have looked at your blog, powerpolitics.org, and must remark that it was incredibly cogent and sophisticated. Without prior knowledge I would have thought the blog belonged to a phd student; that in my opinion, is much more impressive than my memory.

I think there was one question where they showed an excerpt that espoused militarist/expansionist policies in east Asia, the answer for it was Japan.

I'll have to second tamirms. The blog is very impressive.

<a href="http://www.powerpolitics%5B/url%5D.%5Bb%5Dorg%5B/b%5D/">http://www.powerpolitics.**org**/</a>, mind you. :p

But thanks for the praise, I really appreciate it.

Still, anyone can spend time studying issues and writing up opinions. The fact that you can come out of a test, two days later, and have an absolutely amazing recollection of half the test questions that a group of highly intelligent and detail-oriented students forget is something very unique, I must say.

Yes.

Yeah I realized the mistake on the url, and edited it.

Well I must thank both of you for helping to put my mind at ease. Otherwise I would have worried a lot more about what I got on the test.

I don't remember that Japan question at all... does anyone remember any more specific wording for it or what some of the other answers were?

If you make 25 mistakes what would you score be?

barely breaking 700. like me :(
