I'm 4/4 already for UC schools. When I applied I was hoping to get into at least one campus, but getting in out of state into UCI, UC Davis, UCSB, and UCLA is really exciting for me! I'm from Southern California (near UCI actually) and moved to Maryland 5 1/2 years ago, but I'm definitely coming home now! UCLA is my top choice and is most likely the school I will be going to next year.

To all who got in, Congratulations!

i got rejected to most UCs (got into irvine and riverside). i want to move on and learn in college so bad nowadays. i wish i found this new motivation earlier. all i can do now is redeem myself at irvine. congrats to everyone else!

Well no surprise, didn't get in! The only good thing I was so not expecting it. Do state universities do a wait list or is it only private schools? I know they only take 5% of out of state but I thought since I was somewhat above what the average applicant was I stood a tiny teeny chance.......oh well, at least I didn't have my hopes set too high. Did anyone from out of state get in? If so post your stats, please. Congrats to all.

Rejected...similar stats of jas0n and I believe UCs is just a crazy system. If I don't get into Claremont (my mom, if I get into Pomona will basically give up her right arm to send me there),then its cc.

Jason, were you in the ELC program(top 4% of your gratuating class): If yes, then you should have gotten into UCSB. By the look of your rank, I don't think you were. I'm also a Vietnamese, got accept to UCI and UCR: waiting for my #1 school:UCSD:However, I did not apply to UCSB; because they sent me a letter in october saying that I would be guaranteed admission because I'm an ELC applicant, but I didn't intent to go there so why waste $50,right?

Weakness: definetly my essays, I presume

ok two questions for your pros: i took math 1c and only after the fact found that they require math 2, would this have hurt me? don't you think they would have sent me a letter to give me aheads up as a courtesy or are they just too damn big? Also, vmichele, what state are you in? Your scores are quite impressive and beyond the normal for this school.....is this your top pick or are you shooting for something higher? Just curious.

ln17: yea i wasn't part of ELC. however, my lineup is similar to yours. my last chance of redemption is ucsd, but i have really crappy stats. i'm sure you are doing better than me. good luck on admissions! i want everyone to get what they deserve.

You definitely need to take the Math IIC for the UCs. They practically will not even consider you if you don't take that as that is one of the requirements for applying.

There really isn't any reason why they still have the Math IC anyway, since most of that stuff is being tested with the new SAT.
