After both UCLA and UCSD kicked me in the groin i’m just waiting for some good news from UCSB. 
I heard the view from SB is sick and the people there just as B-E-A-UUU-tiful as the beaches and area.</p>

<p>i found out i’m accpeted via the chancellor’s reception, and i’m 100% sure i’m going here =)
i was rejected from LA and SD too! i expected LA, but i thought i at least had a chance with SD. oh well! those rejections just cemented my decision on SB!

<p>I’m so nervous about tomorrow. I got into SD and the reception letter but you never no whats gonna happen after seeing LA and SD. I mean I saw a guy who got into MIT and denied from SD.</p>
<p>@futuremajor Even though I got into SD UCSB’s my first choice. People at UCSB just like to have fun and the weathers great and at SD all the do is study. By the way UCSB’s the only college in the US to own a beach!</p>

is but in the email it says

which i dont think i am admitted yet casue it doesnt say anything about getting in already, is this the chancellor’s reception you guys are talking about?</p>

<p>I got rejected at UCLA and UCSD, too. I have a 4.3 GPA and a 31 ACT… Please let me get into UCSB.</p>
<p>FutureEEMajor, the academics is highly ranked, the weather is nice, the girls are pretty (assuming you are a guy), the beach is pristine, the party is non-stop (I heard), that is where I want to spend my next 4 years … what more can you ask for …</p>
<p>conquer: nah the chancellors letter asks you to attend a reception for “high achieving applicants”…althought their selection process for the letter seems pretty random</p>
