Hi guys I’ve been reading since the beginning. Never thought I would post but if anyone had info I would want them to so here is mine! My friend got an email to check his portal yesterday and he got rejected (he was deferred EA) So i guess it’s not only on Fridays that we hear? Maybe just the majority hear on Fridays. Also we’re from Boston if that’s any help

It was 1:00am set for first wave. Good luck to all!!

Sounds like if you are in-state or can afford out-of-state tuition without financial aid you chances will increase significantly. Most OOS who were counting on financial aid for U of M are disappointed and will have to decline their acceptances.

The reason, U of M is not a private school but a state funded college. U of M is funded by the tax payers of the state of Michigan. That being said, the in-state accepted will receive the lion share of financial aid funds.

Hey guys, why is there so much speculation that the decisions will come out at midnight?

Sydruby, sorry about your friend. What were their stats?

This is just the usual frantic-unsupported-speculation that applicants go through. I don’t think there is any real proof that any decisions will be released tonight.

@dfree124 there is a recent discussion page dedicated to the subject.

We need SOMETHING to hope for, lol. There’s no harm in hoping. If not, well, maybe next week.

You do realize that Michigan has one of the largest endowments of any school in the country (public or private). The state does not pay for the grants and scholarships that come from the school.

2 hours til midnight in michigan!

I beg to differ…the University of Michigan is heavily funded by the state tax payers.

The endowment has nothing to do with it being a state funded college. This is why they have to abide with in-state acceptances requirements and financial aid grants.

I keep telling myself that I am going to stop checking this forum lol but for some reason I can’t. But anyway everyone in my school district heard back from u of m and most were excepted, but I did’t hear back. I got the “bad” deferral letter and they are requiring a mid-year report and they wont get it until the 18th of this month, does that mean I wont hear until the 27th ? or possibly later?

it’s only 930 in texas and i’m already tired…can someone just text me when decisions are out? haha

Really hope this doesn’t turn into yet another Friday of intense anxiety and watching everybody get in while I check WA every five minutes and end up with nothing.

same^ so don’t get your hopes up too high

1 hour left…

I got my admission email for ea on one Friday night about 8:00pm… So I’m assuming even this wave is coming tmr probably not right at 12:00am…

So, in the meantime, I got the weirdest email yesterday. I applied to UM Kinesiology and I got an email asking me to participate in a survey. It was from a research facility in Virginia. It started asking me questions about Kinesiology and I thought ok maybe they know im interested in that from something. And then it starts asking me questions about UM’s Kinesiology and I thought it was extremely odd. Any speculations? (I put in a good word for UM just in case)

@barcelotina prolly wont come right now but im gonna check my WA every 5 mins the whole day.

any1 get accepted

Any decisions guys?
