Hopefully we can hear something this Friday without going off last year’s patterns.

Yeah, I’m still really anxious to know even though I’ve already paid my enrollment deposit and housing lease for UT next year…I just wanna know if I could get in because Mich Engineering is one of the best.

It was ranked seven last year for engineering by US News so it definitely is an excellent program. My friend who applied this year (still hasn’t heard back either) didn’t even know it was so high ranked for its engineering program. I am just waiting for LSA.

MIT decision in a little less than 25 hours

Anyone else here waiting?

not me

Finally got accepted today via email. Keep the faith everyone!!! LSA.

Did you find out on WA or email?

Email. Worth the wait … yet acknowledge it was hard to be patient. I have been checking this forum for weeks now.

They must be trickling out the admitted…

Congratulations!!! Anyone else??

Best of luck, JRswish!

Congrats WMichic!

It says that my midyear report was received on 03/09/2013, I wonder if this means I’ll receive a decision soon?

The notification of receiving the midyear report just means your counselor sent it out 2-3 weeks ago and they got it in the last week. Most people would have already had theirs received by now, actually.

Yeah they received my midyear back in early February and I still haven’t gotten a decision

Wait, you guys actually got midyear grade confirmations? I’m just assuming they received mine because the date they received my “transcript” updated?

I JUST sent my 2nd trimester grades today as soon as it was available (we still run on trimesters, ugh…). Though I don’t think it’ll change my chances a TON, still, better than nothing. :)

Let’s hope for the best, everyone! If WMichic got an email today, I bet at least some of us will start getting notifications soon, too! :)

Gonna be really painful if they are admitting one person at a time :)

Screw the thorough review and just waitlist my kid already!

Quick note you guys. About ten days ago I sent an email to a U of M Admissions Counselor. I just wanted to touch base, express my continued interest and confirm my second trimester grades had been sent. I got an email back indicating that there are 23,000 more applicants this year and that it would be a few weeks yet before I heard. I don’t know if my email helped … but less than 2 weeks later I got admitted. Sharing.

Good luck!

@WMichic What do you mean 23,000 more applicants? Are you sure you didn’t misread that?

The admn counselor wrote in an email that there are 23,000 more applicants over last year and this is the most competitive year for admissions. No misreading. I think the common application has proven to increase interest and applicants hugely.
