props to the Super Moderator for setting up a thread to keep us organized! i really appreciate it! thanks :)

the mini threads we can set up and organize tuesday evening.

He said it'd be open tuesday...is that some kind of indication that we MAY find out tuesday though?

Hey Yalies,

Best of luck from all of us at the Columbia Board!!

Jaug1-
Columbia College '09

ivyboy, I was wondering the same thing. Does he know something we don't? Or is he just doing that on the offchance? Will he only open the thread when the decisions are posted, or will it be possible to post a "decision" before they are actually available?

He's just doing that because he originally set up that thread on the Harvard board, whose decisions will come out on Tuesday.

Stop being so suspicious.

Look, i just think that he's setting it up on tuesday so there wouldn't be a chaotic rush of results.
Ok who's feeling really fidgety? I can't do nething without feeling nervous now. ARGH

my stomach is now in a permanent knot

yeah......i feel like puking, even tho i know i'll be deferred

i dont even know if i'll be deferred - i'm honestly planning on being rejected. At least it will allow me to not have to worry about yale anymore. Of course, if I did get rejected - i'd feel like a total failure, no matter WHAT people would tell me

actually, yeah, lets stick with rejected.........i'm not even going to hope because it'll be too hard.

On Oprah last week (Yes, I do watch Oprah. I'll admit it), there was a guest on the show who was giving advice. When asked what the best advice was she had ever received, the guest replied, "I was once told that whenever I'm going through a difficult or stressful time, to think about how I'll feel about it in six months. It helps to keep everything in perspective."

I thought that was really helpful advice. In a few days, some of us will be elated and others will be highly disappointed. However, in six monhts, we'll all be headed off to college SOMEWHERE. Chances are, we'll each be in love with whatever school we've chosen. So yes, the next few days may seem like the longest we've ever had to endure. However, let's do our best to keep it in perspective.

wow. That's awesome lindsey. Thanks. I will def think of that come Wednesday

will we still do the other threads that we set up about the stats or just the moderator's?

hey lindseylujh there's something good about having mono, you get to take it easy and watch Oprah....maybe that's why you seem so good at putting things in perspective

ivyboy05 stay positive!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets go with the plan, and use the moderator's. It can be a fallback, but it would still be nice to have a place with stats, as well as discussion forums so it doesn't become cluttered with 30 threads.

Yeah, the mod said just "accepted, rejected, or deferred" We need something to show our decision and our stats for NEXT YEARS BUNCH...lets be nice to them :)

Hey Lindsey! I watched that Oprah!! Good call on that too, I like yer style.

And yes, Oprah does rock my world.

Hey, I noticed the talk about Oprah, and I wanted to add something. I live in Chicago, and I went to one of her shows once (my grandmother works out with the mother of one of her bodyguards). It was a really good show too, not the Favorite Gifts one or whatever (btw, my life goal is to go to that show- have you seen the great stuff she gives away!), but Tom Cruise and Steven Speilberg were there! It was sooo cool! But Oprah was really mean to the audience. Her tv personality is definately fake. Whenever an audience member asked if she could hug Tom Cruise, Oprah would snap at us. So, yeah, that's something to think about the next time you watch her show.

Ouch way to crush my fragile bubble. I still love her haha. Not but I enjoy the guests more than I do her. Like last week they had a great guy on who talked about how guys are "Just Not That Into You." He wrote a book by that title. He was very good. Girls, you should get the book, cuz I'm telling you its veracity is undeniable.
