those deffered- when you try to sign in to the admitted students website, do you get a message that says User Not Found or Incorrect PIN or something else?

I believe it says Incorrect PIN if you're deferred, and User Not Found if you're rejected.

^ I beg to differ.

I've been deferred and my message is "User Not Found". Those who get the "Incorrect PIN" may just have the same last name as another student who was accepted.

I still haven't gotten my email. I've been sitting at my computer for 2 hours. Does this mean I'm rejected? How can you sign in if you don't know your access code?

the access code is the one they gave you when you applied: the one you use to check if all your materials were in.

Decision: DEFERRED

no rsparky1088, it's not the page with your name and address that you've been viewing all along, it's another page. Go to the status page linked from your original confirmation e-mail and then click on the "Admitted Students" login at the top right. If you can get in there without a user not found message, you're in.

Good job, lingbo!

"Wow...a lot of us got deferred...I haven't seen anyone rejected yet though"

Harvard is tradtionally very generous with the deferrals in EA, handing out very few outright rejections.

Thanks, jj!

If '11ers want to facebook me, my name is my username.

And i believe they only reject 3% of early applicants.

WOW... I do not get Harvard admissions at all.

I thought some of the people who were deferred were actually accepted because of their crazy stats, ect. Looking up and seeing DEFERRED just freaks me out sometimes because I'm going "WHY?"

And the people who are actually accepted... they're not significantly better in my opinion. I'm sure there are factors that cannot ever be described in words/posted online, but seriously! What's the difference?

If no one posted their stats like ACCEPTED, I would not be able to tell them apart.

Oh yes, and congrats to all who got accepted!

For those who are deferred, just know that I totally think you guys could have made it in!
