SIGH…I’m trying to keep my cool!!

uh it’s probably not coming out tomorrow at all because it’s sunday. try monday night.

Haha I guess it’s Monday guys…I highly doubt that we will get anything on a Sunday.

@dixiesilverjojo: thanks :D

this is probably a dumb question, but where exactly on esther will the decision appear? the top of the page when you click the admission status link?

Just a note for those who get accepted into Rice. Traditionally the acceptance reads “your application has been approved.” Every year students come on here and ask, “Does that mean I have accepted or not?” It does. ;)

Thanks, anxiousmom! I hope to read that same statement on my esther page…

i hopee we all get in guys:)

Good Luck to everyone!!

to take some of the anxiety off-What are you guys wanting to major in?

Bioengineering Pre-med (How much of a course load is this compared to the other engineering majors?)

and I might minor in Global Health Technologies…does anybody have any opinion about this minor?

Biology or Biomed engineering for me (pre-med track)

^^^ Man good for you because I could never do teeth…they freak me out

but surgery…thats a different story :P

im looking to major in computer/electrical engineering or maybe mechanical. im hoping to possibly minor in business as well.

I’m another premed gal :]

I heard at Rice you can take the Premed track and still major in a non-science related subject. But question…how do med schools feel about this? While my dream is to become a physician, I’m not sure I would want to major in a science. (I also really enjoy history and english)

Actually, dixiesilverjojo, I hear that med schools like it when you don’t major in a science-related subject. I think it’s possibly because majoring in a science may be so clich

My son is going for Biomed Engineering, no premed though. BME all the way.

wow everyone is doing premed/enginnering!! lol yeah i heard majoring in something random makes you stand out. i was acutually going to do premed to but afer taking ap bio, i realized i wasnt good at it at all!

so now im doing buisness!

I’ve been planning on Biomedical Engineering and Pre-Med as well.

I know Im being nit picky here but Rice doesnt have a BME degree…its Bioengineering

and yeah ive always wanted to do pre-med but in terms of engineering…its interests me greatly since I did research with a bioengineer but I had HORRIBLE science teachers(especially physics) throughout my high school career and I just hope that i will be able to pick up the science materials as well as others who have had better science teachers in high school if I have great professors(which Rice obviously has)

oh…oops…sorry lol
