Official Emory Fall 2013 Transfer Thread

@emersongarcia: I was also rejected from Washu :frowning: anyways! I know its really a high reach… but I applied to some ivy league schools and top schools like nyu… yeah! What about you?

@transfer20I3: I got 4 rejections already… sigh*

im not nervous at all because i believe i wont make it and then im feeling a bit relaxed.
i applied to 5 schools and no rejections from two schools but wait-listed lol maybe because they wanna see my final transcript as im currently taking 21 credits? lol
btw i know you guys all will do very well no matter where you go
so a rejection letter from school dosent make a hige difference at all and all it does is just hurts your feeling for several days lol
hope you guys all get in though and best of lcuk!

@donam: sorry to hear that. i’m sure you’ll get into one of your top choices. wash u.'s acceptance rate for transfer students is something like 5% this year, which is ridiculously low. what program are you applying for? and what other schools are you waiting to hear back from? i got accepted to ut austin and iowa and rejected from boston and wash u. still waiting to hear back from emory, wake forest, gwu, and bard college.

@tndud: you’re absolutely right. a few rejection letters will not make or break any of us.

T_T . I want to know…

I was able to make my email and login to the housing portal as well as dining application. Can any of guys get into housing and dining?

^I’ve made an email. Don’t know about the rest. Honestly, I think the ‘Bill/Inquiry’ link was a strong sign of acceptance. A lot of universities make that link visible right before decisions come out.

Edit: logged in to MyHousing. This has to mean that we have been accepted. It gives us our class status and refers to us as ‘Transfer students’ rather than transfer applicants. Only an hour left till we find out.

I hope so as I got that too, I was rejected from Cornell ILR and this is my second choice.

Yeah I can get into housing and dining. Nothing shows up though :(

I also see the Billing/ Account Inquiry link but I can’t remember if that was there before. I doubt it means anything. When I sign into it I don’t see anything on the screen T_T.

When will these decisions be available? I have a Calc II test tomorrow T_T . I keep getting distracted by my mailbox and this Emory decision thing.

But what if I’m rejected O_o ?.. Maybe I should focus and just check tomorrow…

how do you make your email

When you say nothing is there, what do you mean? I can see like a chart and things I can click on and whatnot. dining is an application.

Billing link is back and I can log into housing…release decisions please

On the housing page it says “ATL 2nd Year” oh boy

yeah, i see the same thing

Oh! That was NOT there a few minutes ago.

I see it now. Before, I was just getting a blank screen with two empty boxes. It could’ve just been a server issue (my internet has been kind of iffy).

But I see it now. I can apply for housing and stuff…

Good sign?..

I’m so confused…

Since everyone is having the same sign… should we all be happy/excited or just clam down and wait for our decision…? lol

I presume the latter

But it’s so hard T_T .

I’ll be spending the next forty minutes relaxing and preparing myself for a rejection.

If you guys click the box on the left, the one where it asks to apply, do you guys come to an actual housing application, like the one that asks if you smoke and whatnot and what kind of music you listen to etc.? I can like, fully apply for housing and dining. Can any of you?

^Yep. If you can enter email, housing/dining, and billion/inquiry, it is very likely that you were accepted.
