Now,I don’t want to keep my hopes on this housing thingy…I’m just keeping hands crossed and waiting for the decision.

ughhhhhhhhh theyre messing with out heads!!

Can somebody call housing and ask why some are able to log in and others, not. I’m in lecture now…The housing number on the Cornell website is 6072555368

Hey guys! I am new to this thread. I am a CALS applicant.

I was reading last years thread and it appears that if you are able to log into housing then you are almost guranteed acceptance. No one who was able to log into housing got rejected last year. Best of luck to all of you!

Also, regarding CALS applicants:

Last year people who got accepted got both and email and a letter on the mail. People who got rejected only got a letter on the mail.

Regarding everyone in general:

Don’t get discouraged until you actually see a rejection letter. Not being able to log into housing does not mean you are automatically rejected. People, even in CAS which is harder to get into, still got accepted even in May and were not able to log into housing until then.

now it changed to transfer…hope it means something good lol

i noticed that the ILR applicants who can log-in had phone interviews, so maybe they will have access before the rest of us ;). fingers crossed everyone!

@shadglore
Mine says transfer now too :)

@aspx32 and youngjeezy…lets all hope we get in!

yep!! i hope we do!! ahhhhhh!! haha ive heard on hear ILR is suppose to find out the 9th or 10th so we ll see next week, for me!

should ILR applicants be expecting a phone call first this year? or just email or regular mail?

so I just called housing and questioned why some are able to log in and others, not. And the woman told me that she has received similar complaints earlier and everybody should be able to log into the housing portal. To her, it probably is a problem with their system and everybody shd be able to log in as time goes on. …So people relax! Looks like it doesnt mean anything! And for verification, those who can’t log in now shd please keep on trying so we know whether this housing thingy mean anything…Either way, we all will get in!

I didn’t get a call and I’m not able to log into housing portal. I am an ILR applicant… I’ve faced the reality that I probably was rejected.

so far there has been like 2 ILR people who could log in as far as I know; I’m pretty certain that doesn’t mean everyone else is rejected. also someone said decisions are probably coming out the 9th or 10th (monday or tuesday) meaning they are not out yet. last year, people who got in received phone calls on the day they decided to release the news. I’m just wondering if they will call again this year considering that they did not do phone interviews with more than a handful of people. or if accepted people will get an email instead of a phone call.

I think they only did the interviews for the people they actually had questions for. Mine was more of a clarification type call, but with a “how did you find out about it/what got you interested in it” question at the end.

I also can’t log in yet. Cornell housing confirmed this is simply a glitch. It’s great we get to hear back so early! :)

Are the letters for ilr sent out then or is that when we should be receiving them?

I wonder why Cornell gives out decisions so much earlier than other schools. If we get rejected that feeling will sit with us for almost a month until other schools start giving out decisions. Wish they all just told us now if we got in haha.

Chance me for AEM!
