Official FALL 2012 Cornell Transfers

@box90210, I have been able to log in, since Saturday morning. Are you able to log in, too?

I’m not able to at the moment. I’m not trying to have “false hope” but I turned in a 4.0 mid semester report, really strong grades, a good app, and so many other people haven’t been able to log in either so far so hope it works out for all of us!

we all tried our best :)

Then, you are golden  You sounds like a really strong candidate, @box90210. I am certain than an acceptance letter will be waiting for you in your mailbox, next week!
Also, truth be told, I am not even sure, if accessing housing means being accepted. I definitely hope so, but someone in this thread said that his/her friend was able to access housing last year and was denied by Cornell.

thanks for the support!
tomorrows monday and I’m not sure whether I should possibly expect a phone call (like how some people got last year) or a letter in the mail. or if a letter would come by friday which seems so far away. I’ve been waiting the entire year for this week it’s so crazy that its almost here!

CAS applicant here. I tried logging into housing without the Net ID, and it says “Either your session has timed out or you are not currently logged in.” I take it that this isn’t good news? I mean, it seems like most of the people here who can log in aren’t CAS applicants… but oh, man, this is worrying! Well, I’ve tried my best (4.0 GPA and midterm report, 2030 on SAT, lots of good EC’s), but I know that there are so many great applicants that getting in is just impossible.

@star3x8 - Don’t worry! Very few CAS applicants can log in right now and we don’t even know if that means anything. Not being able to log in right now certainly doesn’t mean a rejection letter is headed your way. We have to wait the longest!! No fair.

@secretlyyhopeful, I was able to log in on Saturday as well. It was kind of strange since it was a weekend. I wasn’t expecting anything when I logged in I just logged in as habit and there it was the housing application! Maybe it takes a day or so for you to be able to access the system.

For everyone else, a lot of people could only log in as of Saturday. And if I’m right about it taking a while to be able to access the system, many of you should be able to get on at some point next week (a couple days after the weekend). I wouldn’t worry at this point. It is a very random process and a lot of people found out at the end of April and May last year.

On a completely different note, is anyone else struggling with “transferitis”? Little like senioritis, but it’s now in a college setting with even more distractions and alternatives to working than in high school :stuck_out_tongue: Mine started last September when I started applications for transferring, oops.

Haha I know what you mean. It’s weird to think I won’t see alot of people at my current school ever again.

@something12345 Ok, good to now! I mean, I know that being in a community college and transferring as a sophomore may hurt me, but I’m still having some hope that a miracle will happen!

if we’re supposed to be notified by tomorrow or tuesday, im assuming they put out the mail on friday. if i dont get any sort of call early in the day, my parents will be camping out at the mailbox at home and will have to call me with the results. scary!

I’ve already accepted the fact that Cornell is going to reject me.

I just hope I’m proven wrong.

Who’s suppose to be hearing back this week? ILR applicants?

^ Yes 10char

Are the notifications generally via email or snail mail for international apps?

I get this when logging in to housing:

"Error 5116 means… A session database error occurred.
Log message…

Additional information is available in the error log. If the information is insufficient, try increasing the log level by adding the directive: LogLevel debug

housingweb.campuslife.cornell.edu"

Does anyone know when CHE applicants are supposed to hear back? The website says mid april, but I saw that some CHE applicants already got their decisions. Is there a definite date of when we should have them by?

@wronskian I think you might have clicked on the link for students who have a cornell net ID

Did ANYONE hear back who applied to CAS???
