To prospective ILR transfers:
I've decided to create a thread specifically for ILR transfer.
I've created one for the Spring 2012 and it was actually helpful because it made things much simplier.
I wasn't going to create another one, but seeing that most of the applicants are applying to ILR, I thought why not again.
We can now ask specific questions and just get to the point rather than reading through all the unnecessary post for other school applicants.
We've got three-four more weeks til decisions are out, and I really wish the best of luck to us all.
Hopefully, a lot of us (all of us?) will get admitted and we'll arranged to meet on campus. But i'll stop getting ahead of myself.

For those of you who got the phone call, mind sharing what you've discussed?

ILR GTs have been notified via phone call… also in the phone call, GT official acceptance letters are going out early next week… Hopefully that means not too much longer of a wait for non-GTs!

@lilydrenn, can you be more specific about the supplement question. Do you mean the essay because that’s a requirement isn’t it? @mjg how do u know that? R u a GT? Or did u ask admissions?

@qawsed as far as I know, there were 3 essays: explain an EC, reasons for transferring, and the one and only CU supplement essay. My question was vague- what I meant to say was: are you referring to supplement essay? In which case, I simply answered the questions asked by the prompt, shared a little bit about my life experience, and discussed my fascination with the curriculum. On that note, have you seen that they offer a class called Managing Creativity? How amazing is that?!?!

@MJG678 CONGRADS!!! You have the honor of being the first to be accepted to ILR in CC so congrads!!! Mind sharing the details of the call and your emotions! Lols. Congrads, best of luck. @LilyDrenn, yes, I was referring to the supplement. Lols. I’m really excited for student activites honestly.

@Lilydrenn, no, I’m not really involved in SA or SGA at my school cause they don’t really offer much. That’s why I’m even more excited to participtae @Cornell.

@jimbo, Cornell is the only school I applied to via the Common App so all my essays are about ILR. For the extracurricular one, I wrote about how my specialization in internet marketing relates to ILR and how I have been focusing on modern day work environments like the Internet. For the supplement I explained the steps I took to transform my high school paper from a joke to a success, which sparked my interest in organizational design. Hopefully the essays make it clear why I choose ILR. It’s too vague to say I talked about myself and my interest in ILR. Didn’t we all do that?

EDIT: The essays are tops in importance along with academic performance in college.

AH thank you guys!! It’s been a long wait, since last April, but glad to know it is over… The phone call was short and friendly. We talked about school, housing, etc… and that the letter should be sent early next week! Hopefully an indication of when your letters will be coming too :)…

Good luck to all of you guys! I hope to see all of you in the fall, and hopefully this painfully slow process will end soon!

MJ, first off–congrats. seriously, best of luck to you and thank you for the kind wishes.
second, i’m a little confused. were you called to be informed that you received a GT meaning you can enter spring 2012 if you meet a certain criteria, or were you already given a GT and were called to confirm that you can attend in the fall?

and mine was largely about how my job has shown my first hand the dynamics of a work place and how it fascinates me…as well as discussing how personal family conditions have given me interest in the ILR curriculum.
