ACCEPTED!!!
got denied to sdsu today, so looks like I’m a future gaucho. cant complain.
Congrats to everyone who got accepted!
Currently researching their housing options. I dont know anyone at ucsb and want to make friends lol so I think on-campus living would be the best decision for me. Considering either San Rafael or Manzanita Village. Anyone have any recommendations?! Anyone else planning to live in these halls?
@hazels25 ^ I’m curious too.
This waiting is killing me! This makes me unable to relax during spring break :-w
@hazels25 lol count yourself fortunate to have been accepted to UCSB. SDSU isn’t even half as good as UCSB is dude. So i’m pretty sure you’d have chosen ucsb over sdsu anyway. Every person i know that got into sdsu and rejected from ucsb, wishes they would have gotten into ucsb. You don’t mean to tell me you’d have chosen sdsu over ucsb…right?
@Samantha19 ucsb was originally my first choice, but wanted to go to sdsu because my brother is also moving to San Diego. just a bummer to see those words “denied.” BUT everything happens for a reason, I know I’ll enjoy ucsb! where are you transferring from?
@akfieldhockey @kmariel pre-communication! how about you guys?
Transferring from the Huntington beach area. I’m sure you’ll be glad it happend this way moving forward. UCSB is the #10 public university in the nation (yep top 10) and ranked 40th in the world, while sdsu is ranked #149 nationally…so your education will be way superior at UCSB. It’ll just make your degree that much more valuable. not knocking sdsu…but it is what it totally is.

WOW I just called the financial aid department at UCSB and she said that it doesn’t matter if it says on campus or off campus because they don’t take that into consideration. They will worry about that after you SIR and redo the final versions in June. I asked her if the aid would go up if we lived on campus because it was more expensive and she said no that we are at our maximum already. She said that the parent PLUS loan would increase. That adds about 5-7k more for me…
People mentioned earlier that the aid will go up if we live on campus. Any proof?
@hazels25 I don’t know anyone either… And yes I will most likely be living at a transfer hall. I hope I make some good friends there haha.
Anybody else still pending? This is nuts
