I know there's already a frat party thread, but I think there should be a place to announce/spread the word about upcoming parties so we know all the options on Thursday/Friday/Saturday nights. Post here which parties you're going to and which ones you're not going to, and there will be fewer fruitless nights of wandering the streets in search of drinking and dancing.

no. if the only way you’ve heard about a party is on a website you should not be at it.

agreed.

and its not that difficult to find parties.

No way, there has to be SOME place for CC kids to get the inside scoop on the hottest parties at Cornell…

Now this isn’t technically a “frat” party, more of a ctown party. It’s at 120 E Clinton St on Friday night starting at 10 PM. I suggest being as trashed as you can BEFORE getting there, since the guys who live there are CRAZY and are likely to be wasted by the time you get there. You don’t want to be the only sober one there, that would be kinda awkward.

Enjoy it guys.

Why do I get the feeling hoonose is playing a dirty trick?

Of course he’s not! He’d never do something like that in a thread this serious…

Hey, take my tip or leave it. I’m just trying to help people have a good time.

**** dude, you shouldn’t have told everyone about that Friday night gig…now its gonna be mobbed with useless froshs trying to mooch alcohol off the hosts.

I guess they’ll have to bring out the breathalyzer again for this year’s .20 party on Friday and actually be serious about it this time (last year they let in people whose BAC was only .15 or even less when they arrived, that obv isn’t gonna fly this year).

This is the only college forum on CC I have seen where students are turning this into a social network forum. It is in some ways becoming a replacement for Juicycampus. Many prospective students and parents come to this site to find out more about Cornell, and this is what the forum is really for. I am sure even by now, you feel a certain pride about Cornell, and I have to say you are not putting Cornell in the best light.

I won’t even go into the fact that if you need to come on this site to find out about parties at Cornell, it is rather sad. People in the Greek life are emailed(or texted) about various parties they are required to attend, and freshmen are generally notified via text or by world of mouth. It is doubtful they would come on here to publicize their parties. As I know a few regular posters are in the Greek life and they are not contributing to these threads.

Can we just let this thread die and not start another one.

Well said oldfort. Why people feel the need to get on here and tell the whole world how wasted they were last friday night is beyond me.

applauds oldfort

hahah, hoonose’s address leads to the Ithaca police department

+1

oh and juicycampus.com was shut down a while ago…seems like we need another forum…only reasonable one is here…but there should be some kind of private forum
