Official Georgetown Class of 2015 EA Discussion Thread

Yeah CC is only for us crazies who desperate for good grades, scores, and schools, not your average joe haha

ps @Beautytina, did you get anything today? my classmates got their emails, but not me…

@2015ftw: not yet.

Also I think people are less excited to post results when they aren’t accepted. So it’s probably a combination of CC selection bias and voluntary response bias (yay AP Stat!)

I got deferred today and posted my results, it really sucks!

California still waiting. Am I looking for a fat envelop or a skinny one???!!!

It’s a regular sized envelope, but its thick.

I GOT IN. OMG OMG OMG. This was my number one school. I just lost it this morning. To all you ppl out there that get intimidated by this website, let me be your ray of hope. I’ll post stats later, but my scores were NOT G-town caliber…I hate to sound corny, but I think I just wanted it so bad that it shined thru in my interview. AHHHHHHH I’m freaking out! (btw, I hate Harvard, ignore the name…I was an idiot when I created my account a year or so ago)

congrats harvardhopeful thats so exciting!! are you gonna go forsure?

Yes(ish)…I’m like 90% sure. Unfortunately, the only thing that’s iffy is financial aid. If I end up not being able to afford it (divorced parents–mom poor, dad loaded, dad refusing to contribute, but financial aid is still gonna consider his income) :/, worst case scenario is a gap year…

got deferred today

its soooo expensive, i totally know what youre saying. private schools…hahahah
sorry haoyukevinwang! but itll all work out, just put positive energy out there (:

Harvard hopeful congrats!

I am in a similar situation, please share how the gap year will help with financial aid?

Thanks

Working…I have a job lined up to start in March that pays 15 an hour. if i did that from March 2010-August 2011, I’d at least be able to get by for a year. I mean, I know I’ll get SOME financial aid (even though I really should be getting a full ride since my custodial parent makes 19,000 a year and my father is refusing to contribute…yet unfortunately they’ll most likely take into consideration his 150,000 a year…so ■■■■■■■■…), so in that respect it might be able to hold me off for more (also assuming I work while there)

congratulations harvard hopeful!!
will you post your stats please?..
i really want to go to georgetown but i don’t have the best set of scores :(…sigh
