@ivy12345 I think the acceptance rate was 14%. Although on the letter it says 23’000 applicants for 1’600 spots, GU sent approximately 3’300 offers. Do the maths, that’s 14%. (I’m not sure but I think that’s just for McDonough business school, maybe I’m wrong).

Essays (rating 1-10, details): 10! I put a lot of effort into my essays. I talked about my love for vexillology and my experience teaching at a science camp. Georgetown has been my top school since freshman year and I live relatively close by, so I was also able to reminisce on some fun times I’ve had on campus!
Recommendations (rating 1-10, details):
Teacher Rec #1: Math teacher, no clue but hopefully good
Teacher Rec #2: English teacher, no clue but hopefully also good
Counselor Rec: Uhh. Apparently she never actually sent a recommendation in?? It’d be way too awkward to ask her about it now but like … don’t go to a big public school lol
Interview: I think it went well! My interviewer and I had a lot in common. She did see me trip on my way through the door though whoops

Reflection
Strengths: Test scores, ECs (vague for privacy but solid)
Weaknesses: GPA. My freshman grades were very bad due to extenuating circumstances (which I explained in my application) but I had great grades & academic awards to corroborate them for the rest of HS … get u a girl who can do both
Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: I conveyed a genuine interest in making good use of Georgetown’s resources.
Where else were you accepted/deferred/rejected: Accepted at GMU, UVA, VT, W&M
General Comments:
The Georgetown application doesn’t have an additional information section where you can describe extenuating circumstances so I kind of made my own section below Essay #1 and wrote my explanation there haha. Anyways Hoya Saxa!!!
any others?
