Official Georgetown transfer thread fall 2013

Kane 402! Do you think how many MSB students got wait-list??

I’m so nervous!!!

What’s the percentage of people in the wait-list eventually end up getting in? ~10%?

Just got in!!! So ecstatic! Congrats to admitted and fingers super crossed for wait listers. Can’t wait to meet all of you!

I think they’re offering a ton of slots. I know they say 20% acceptance but they probably offer 40-45% and waitlist(and accept) another 10% at least. There haven’t been any denials?

Just received my rejection letter. They knew I worked full time and I believed this hurt my chances of getting in. Did anyone else unable to gain admittance receive a suggestion to apply as a “special student”? I believe this lets your take only 1-2 classes per semester but I’m not positive.

I have been working and researching full-time for the past two years and I was admitted. Obviously we are different applicants with different backgrounds etc, etc but I’m not sure that working full-time necessarily hurt your chances. In my case I think it helped me get admitted (as I was rejected when I applied as a freshman)

Waitlisted to the college

Anyone received info on financial aid?

Any advice for getting in when we are on the wait list???

I really really want to get in GT

any wait list??? there

Will not be attending so that should open something up for someone!
Good luck to everyone on this thread.

Guess my dream of attending Geroegtown has come to an end:’(Someone in the wait list will benefit

They gave me no financial aid

Do anyone who got accepted from MSB decided not to go?? please let me know…

still haven’t decided ughhh. financial aid turned out to be fine, but the core classessss… mer.

@pcocoxx, how much did they offer if you don’t mind sharing?

@Mwakicha,
I have to pay ~2500 out of my pocket. I read that you were an international student – when I applied as a Freshman two years ago, I was an international myself and I wasn’t offered any. They’re very stingy with internationals.

Congrats. Thanks for the info.Did you become a permanent resident in two years?

Those of you who aren’t going do you mind telling us what school you were going to attend? College? MSB? NHS?SFS?

any wait list got accepted??? yet??
