Wait, does anyone know if Tech takes the higher of your two SAT/ACT scores? Cause I accidentally sent my terrible ACT scores that I don’t want them to look at (just noticed this past few days).
@TodaysEinstein yes, they see the highest scores…They superscore both the SAT and ACT
Is English 32, Math 34 and English/writing 29( i messed up the essay real bad) competitive enough?
for CS,i.e.
@iliveinmumbai does that mean that they take one or the other if one is clearly better than the other? Because I messed up my ACT really badly :’(
@TodaysEinstein Yes, they will use the better score. They will even superscore between the tests if that gives you a better result. (as stated by an admissions rep at a student visit).
Evaluating your Test Scores
We use all three portions of the SAT and/or the three equivalent parts of the ACT, as outlined below. We do not use the ACT Composite score or the Science or Reading score.
SAT Critical Reading = ACT English
SAT Math = ACT Math
SAT Writing = ACT Combined English/Writing
Only your highest section scores from either test will be viewed in the evaluation process. Additionally, your highest combination of scores may come from tests taken on different dates. For example, your high test scores may include SAT Critical Reading from March, ACT Math from October and ACT Combined English/Writing from December. Each time you submit new scores to us, we will update your record with your highest scores.
My previous post was copied from Tech website.
they super score
@nexusguy You have a decent chance with those scores. Remember that admission is major-blind, so your indicating CS has no impact.
just 5 days!
4 days left? :(|)
Just got the website where we’ll find our decision:
MyDecision.gatech.edu
haha same ^ i like their professionalism, unlike UMich.
yay! that lifts a lot of load off me. Good luck guys! your entire four years can be culminated in that one click to view your decision, hope to see you all there
And the website says:
Admission decisions will be available on:
Sat, January 10, 2015 12:00:00 EST.
I have a small problem. The decision literally comes out at the exact same time I’m going to be having an interview for another college. What should I do lol…
@caffeinemolecule you have college interviews at midnight? or are you just interviewing late at night on the west coast?
@TodaysEinstein Decisions come out at noon, not midnight.
@caffeinemolecule then just check later, after your interview. it doesn’t quite make sense to check DURING the interview, regardless of how eager you may be to know results.
D-4!!!
