I figured we should get this thread started for all the regular decision applicants working on applications/waiting for decisions! :D

oh and BTW, have any of you RD-ers gotten an email from your interviewer yet? I just received mine, and the guy wants to schedule one for next week… i’m so nervous!!!

Deferred SCEAer here! Though I’ve been looking into my other options, I’m still going to try my best for a chance at admission. :)

Has anyone agreed to an interview while they resided overseas?

Bump. Bump.

In on the first floor.

GL everyone <3

I live in Ohio and I haven’t gotten contacted for an interview. Should I call the admissions office or assume that one is not available?

Just sent out my Harvard application. Good luck and a merry Christmas to all of you!

Merry Christmas from India! Any other internationals here?

I am an International from India too! and I have applied to Harvard - RD

Merry Christmas to all!
@rsiddhant: have you been admitted elsewhere EA? What is your subject of interest?

@p25india: Yeah, got into Tulane so I’m ‘safe’. What about you?

I’m from India. Nowhere EA. Harvard #1 choice. Anticipating a rejection yet hoping for an acceptance. Wassup people?

Hey guys, how’re ya’ll doing? I’m an international from Singapore. Psst, I got no chance—just thought I’d be crazy and apply. Anyways, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! (;

I don’t even stand a chance. in my wildest dream ( of course!! while applying, I thought I would stand a chance but of course I was delusional)…

Still want to join in the RD thread… from Nepal and applied RD…

I haven’t gotten any emails about interview either…
So excited and …nervous at the same time.
How are you guys spending your Christmas, by the way? Any interesting books/movies/web sites? I’m trying to do anything possible to stop thinking about possible rejection…

I haven’t sent in my app yet. Figure it wouldn’t hurt for my essays to sit for a few days before sending them in. There’s no one in the admissions office now anyway. Christmas break~

@Ekaterina A good way to stop thinking about rejection is to check out other possible dream schools’ websites. This gives you other schools you can lean back upon if you don’t get in. Don’t get too worked up about comparing your stats to others on CC; in the end it’s not going to be absolutely realistic because it’s impossible to determine the truth worth of your own application in comparison to others through objective stats. Anyway, good luck!

Thank you for advice, thecollege1. This is actually exactly what I’m doing, cheking/applying to other schools. It works, but sometimes my mind just needs a break from all this admission world.

Sent from my Ally using CC App

Now, for some much-needed reality.
Harvard’s Class of 2016 will consist of 1660 students.
Already, through SCEA, 772 students have been accepted.
That means, for the approximately 32,000 applicants that will apply for RD, there will be maybe 1500 spots left (going off the basis that the same number of people as last year will apply / be accepted, and that the large majority accepted EA will enroll)
That makes for an RD acceptance rate of ~4.7%
Yeah Harvard!

/RDapplicant :(
