And I wish I had a girl to do that for.

Even if I get in, I’ll always ask myself if it was really worth it. What I gave up.

Okay so I thought about something…

For those of us who applied for Financial Aid and get an email from the FA Office asking for further and more complete information, does that mean that they got in?
Or the FA Office have checked ALL the financial forms already and they won’t ask anyone anything this week?

^did you get an email this week? If so, you’re most likely accepted.
That’s just my logic though, since the FA office is calculating packages this week for accepted students.

^Did you just get an email within the past day or so? I don’t think Harvard would be that transparent about acceptances before they’re released, but if you received an email recently (after deliberations concluded on Dec. 7) then there doesn’t seem to another logical reason for them to want this information.

NO…
I didn’t get an email…
I was just asking

I wish I had

@isarub, I think it can indicate an acceptance. Since Harvard is need blind and wouldn’t consider the amount of FA for admissions, it only makes sense that they will ask you for more info if they plan to award you some money. And I think for the FA office to check ALL FA forms is a bit too much work considering each one is like 10 pages. So, I think they only look at FA after you have been admitted. That’s what Dec 8th-Dec15th are for since all decisions have been made by Dec 7th.

And just wondering, did you get the FA email?

Ah, false alarm. Looks like it’s another 6 days to wait.

Yep, saw the answer israrub.

Congrats on breaking 1000 posts, everyone! :D

Again, I didn’t get an email!

But if I had known, I might have submitted confusing information ahah

Its so unfair!

Columbia yesterday. Stanford today.

I’ll be staying up to check anyway. The girl I love is a Stanford EA applicant :)

^ awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww(:

I have a question fellow Harvard SCEAs. Haven’t posted in a long time and was too nervous to check here until now. The whole second interview thing is interesting to ponder. As far as people saying interviews do not matter that much, then why is Harvard asking some for second interviews? Do they say they do not matter to ease the minds of the nervous applicants? I had a second interview after having a very strong first alumni interview. Not to brag, but I don’t see myself as a borderline candidate academically or with regard to my ECs, though admittedly, there are many stronger than I. So what to make of it? I don’t know. I only know that if I get deferred, I won’t be shocked, it is likely due to the sheer numbers. Odds are I won’t get in. Good luck to everyone else. How lucky any of us would be to attend this place!

I know :)

We planned on checking Harvard-Stanford together, but these morons at Stanford had to screw our check-together plans. She’s in another city tonight…we’re staying up together anyway. Thank God for Whatsapp.

I am a SCEA applicant this year. My sister is currently a sophomore at Harvard, so I have some knowledge of their process. Of course, when she applied there was not an early round. She had only one interview. She was also accepted to Princeton, Columbia and Penn and had only one interview for each. My Harvard interview was encouraging. It turned out the alumni was my eye doctor, which made for a comfortable and fun conversation. He did confirm what many have been told that the interview is not a big part of the decision process. He said his job was to determine whether I was someone he would want to room with, have lunch with, be in a class with, etc. He then said I was “positively adorable”. Not sure adorable is what Harvard is looking for. hahaha.

i think it def indicates that you may have been accepted if you get emails asking you for more info on FA forms. my friend got the same type of emails from Columbia last week or so, and well, she got in. We were not too sure because of her test scores (1850 SAT, 550 Bio, 630 Lit) but she did! Anyway, Collegeboard told me that I was missing a form that Harvard had said they wanted with the CSS Profile, but Harvard hasn’t asked for anything so I can only assume what that means. = ((((

Can we also add the interview result on the stats so that people know how interviews correlate the admission.
What did your interviewer say about your chances to Harvard?

What did your interviewer say about your chances to Harvard?

Thought this was interesting: My interviewer repeatedly told me that the interview will not affect anybody’s chances unless u tell them something that u didn’t include on ur application or arrive 20 mins late wearing sweats and cursing.

What collegeboard form besides the CSS profile?
