Sorry that Harvard didn’t publish the stats yet. They were published pretty early in the day last year–around 10am. Only thing I can think of is that decision day was the same for all of HYP last year (12/15), whereas Harvard is first this year. Harvard may delay publishing the stats for that reason. Just a guess…only Harvard knows, but you will all know your individual decisions in a few hours.

Very best of luck to all of you. I feel as though I know some of you at this stage, so I am admittedly anxious for you. You seem like wonderful young adults who I hope my D will have the opportunity to meet next year.

Now stop trying to log in and do some schoolwork!

Just letting everyone know that getting deferred isn’t the end of the world. I got deferred SCEA and then waitlisted and then got in–everything has a weird way of working out!

@junejulyaugust that’s what many of us want to hear! Thanks! Hahaha

895 admitted through early action.

Nice. Great news for you all. Good luck again!

Good luck to all of you, I’m sure you’re all brilliant candidates!

Mmmaaaaah I’m more nervous for my friend that applied than she is…

Well. I guess it comes down to the last hour now. Hopefully, the emails aren’t delayed by 5 hours like last year. The .5 percentage point increase is somewhat nicer to be aware of though. I guess last year really was a test run of sorts!

"In addition to the 895 admitted students, 3,196 applicants were deferred and will be considered in the regular action process, 651 were denied, 12 withdrew, and 96 submitted incomplete applications. "

crap how bad would it feel to have submitted an incomplete application… I hope I didn’t… do they tell you if you did? lol

@NewYork94 what 0.5%? The article says acceptances were up 15%

daishi55, not % of those accepted/entire pool. The acceptances went up ~15%, but so did the number of applications (~14.5%).

I was referring to the acceptance rate, it went from 17.9 to 18.4

Good luck, guys!

Good luck to everyone!!

4 more minutes guys. Good luck.

Does the email come out at 5:00 for everyone or do they just begin going out at 5?

Oh, got it. Still, that’s a lot better than 15% more applicants and no increase in acceptances. So does this mean that it’s just that harder to get in regular decision this year? I assume they never add to the total number of students who can go…

Here we go!
