Does anyone know how long it takes to get your login information for the portal?

Finally finished my supplement. Ahhhh! Will probably submit my application tomorrow or the day after.

@FlyingWombat I submitted everything on Oct. 23 and got my login info on Oct. 24, so maybe 1 business day?

Should we describe the prompt at the top of the supplemental essay? And should it be sent as a PDF?

is a personal statement the same thing as your college essay?

Just submitted my common app portion! Super nervous (especially because I have to finish up the supplement this week!)

How long after submitting can you expect an interview contact, and usually how long after that is the actual interview?

@FlyingWombat I received mine in around ten days!

Woo! I got contacted for an interview and did it at Starbucks!

@oystershelleatme that’s awesome. how did it go? how long did it last? I haven’t heard anything yet. I really hope it will come soon.

I had my on-campus interview this past friday and it was as good as I ever could have hoped it would be! My AO was really chill and it felt more like a conversation than an interview, so I’m really satisfied with it. Talked for just under an hour. I don’t remember too many of the questions she asked me, but a fun one(lol) was what I do for fun. Do on-campus interviews weigh more than local interviews btw?

Are any of you attaching a resume for the supplemental? planning on getting this common app stuff sent out today

I’m having my interview this week :/

@nomatterwhat It went really well! The interviewer was super chill and really down to earth (which surprised me). I mean he started by asking the basic questions like “what do you want to do” and “why harvard” but then it became a conversation honestly. He made me bring my transcript and my resume, so he also asked me questions about the grading at my school, my school in general, and what I thought about the activities I’d done in school.

My interview was long. It lasted about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Don’t worry, I’m sure you’ll get contacted soon for an interview.

@oystershelleatme what was your answer to why Harvard? And congrats, you have everything out of the way now!

And @cx500r what did you say when he asked what you like doing for fun? Something on your application, or something new and unique…?

Do you have to have all your recommendations in to submit your application…? I’m still waiting on one teacher recommendation and one supplemental recommendation…

No i do not think so. I heard that recommenders’ have a deadline that is after the student’s deadline

i have my interview later today!

@oystershelleatme, that’s awesome! sounds like a great interview. You are all done with the app. Good luck.
@havard00 Good luck to you.

Do you know if Harvard will start evaluating the applications before 11.1, as Yale says it’ll do?

@cx500r, just saw your post. sounds like a great interview to me. I don’t know if on campus interviews are any different from alum interviews off campus. I don’t think they do and I don’t think they should.
