My son was accepted by Princeton, Brown PLME, and West Point. He was put on the Harvard wait list but chose Brown PLME early after March 27 results as that was his first choice, Princeton was his second choice, and Harvard was his third choice. He is so happy and so am I! Parents be happy for your kids, everyone who was on the wait list seems to have such excellent other options :)

Received it at around 5est. Waited for my parents before I opened. I told my dad that I was sorry to disappoint him. I was wrong, he wasn’t disappointed at all. Actually very proud of me on how I handled the process. Off to Brown!

looking from last year’s wait list thread, I can’t see the specific day in may on which some CC people were accepted. Does anyone know a definitive date?

@lfleur I am also headed to UC Berkeley!

I decided to remain on the wait list, but I have yet to receive an email.
Anyone know what’s up with this?

I haven’t received an email either. I just tried to login to my applicant portal and it said login failed. Anyone checked their applicant portal/have any info?

^same, spitzbergen.
I swear I have the correct access code and I’m pretty sure I know my own last name, so it must be the portal.

@Thoreauback, best of luck at UC Berkeley! I hope you, and my son, have a great time and get a great education there.

@2390CloseEnough Same haha, I really wish we could get more information! PM me if you hear anything!

@spitzbergen gotcha.

@spitzbergen @2390CloseEnough Same for me. No email and I can’t login to my applicant portal.

@nbreakdown seems like they’re still determining which letter of the three to send our way.

Honestly though, I’d be so down to take the Z-list, although I’m very happy with Cornell.

I received an “I-am-very-sorry” e-mail as well. This whole waiting process since I turned in my college applications in December has been so exhausting. However, now that I have heard back from all my colleges, I am so happy, relieved, and blessed to say that I will be a part of the Princeton University Class of 2018.

Good luck to everyone heading off to college this year and those who are still on Harvard’s waiting list. And to students who will be going through the college application process soon: do not fret! You will end up where you are SUPPOSED to be rather than where you THINK you should be. Continue to work hard and believe in yourself! Everything will turn out to be okay.

Does anyone have historical data regarding the timing of decision notifications (first wave of rejections, extended waitlist, more rejections?, z-list)?

If you hover over the date in previous CC threads on the waitlist, it shows you the date and time I believe. The first person on the CC thread for last year’s waitlist mentioned they got a call on the 14th and the mass rejections were sent out on the 16th. What did the waitlist closing email say, could somebody copy it onto this thread? GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE ELSE STILL ON THE WAITLIST! Wishing the best of luck for all of us!

Thanks @laila111 ! have you tried logging in to your portal?

I’m on the same boat as you three! Just want to know my fate already, or at least receive some sort of update email haha

@ksiolajidebt you couldn’t log in either?

i meant that I haven’t received an email yet. Which portal do you mean, the one in which we checked our application statuses?
