But then again, that response of theirs was actually more of an obvious statement though, don’t you think, given that wait list decisions are supposed to have been made before July anyway? </p>
<p>It probably depends on our regional admissions officers as well, since they’ve got to vouch for our apps and get decisions made asap - I checked out the harvard directory (found the list of officers on a PDF via google), and the officer for my region, for instance, was one of the more junior ones, compared to many who were titled Head or Director for that region, or as Senior officers (they are better in the game of pushing their candidates). When this happens, there’s a conflict between applicants with demonstrated interest over the past months and equally strong applicants being vouched for better by the more experienced officers, (hence probably the low waitlist yield), and the outcome - limbo! </p>

<p>Just called admission office. They said another round of answers will happen at 430 est today then 2 more rounds and everyone will have an answer by the first week of July. Hope this helps</p>
