i think its basically if ur humanities/arts oriented it'll b south and if ur math/science/engineering etc it'll b up north. i may be wrong though

oh wait... i checked the housing deposit form i have to send in and i dont have to put down my choice of dorm. do i pick my first choice later in the summer?

That, my friend, is part of the housing application.

Can anyone comment on Sargent?

Also, is 13-meal plan enough? I think I will eat 2 meals average per day, and plus the wildcat points they give out with the plan, will it get me through the week?

Check the other forums on Housing, or do a search of the Northwestern University thread for Sargent or Housing. I've heard bad things about it, but I suppose it depends on who you ask. I'd go to the ASG website and read the reviews and look at the surveys

Does anyone know which building is the nicest to live in, not in terms of social life, atmosphere or anything like that, just how nice the building itself and what it has like AC and stuff is? This will allow me to narrow the buildings down from the pool I already have.

Yeah, I'm wondering if 13 will be enough, too. I usually only eat a bit of cereal for breakfast so I could have 2 meals a day and brunch on Sunday.

i need foooood. maybe my brain releases too much dopamine when i eat. . .haha. . .because i look forward to my 3 meals a day. I only eat healthy though. i'm thinking about getting a cheaper room (i wanted Slivka) so i can get a 19 meal plan. . .

Don't worry about the meal plan unitl you get here. You can always change it during the quarter once you find out what your eating habits are. That said, I don't know anyone on the 13-meals-a-week plan that uses even close to all 13. Most people are on block plans rather than meals-per-week plans.

For the people on the 13-meals-a-week plan that don't even use close to all 13, where do they go to eat for the 8 other meals in a week (assuming 3 meals a day)? I usually eat breakfast, and I don't know if I'll have time to go out somewhere else to find something to eat.

Can you elaborate more on block plans? Thanks.

application's up

Can anyone get past part c?

just submitted mine. part c = essays right? then it's just a summary page and u click submit.

summary page wont come up for me

Is there a prompt or something for the ones that need essays?

it just asks why you want to live in a residential college and what you would contribute to them. I didn't write a separate 'essay' for each one (applied to 3) ... hope that's okay.

And yeah, what's a block mean plan?

You can't differentiate between Bobb & McCulloch

i can't get past part c.....ugh

It's probably early to think about meal plan, but can't help!

Take plan C for example, 310 meals/35=8.8 meals per week. I don't know how wildcat points work but 250 points for the year seems not that much. I think block plan is more flexible but it just doesn't seem enough? Can any current student explain a bit? Also, which dining locations have the best food?

"The four WildCat Block Meal Plans offer a fixed number of meals per quarter, plus a quarterly allocation of WildCat Points.
