OFFICIAL January 2013 Math 2 SAT Subject Test Thread

^^Now that you say that I believe that’s what I got as well!

^^ I got the same thing

For the problem like 4a + 4b + 4c +4e divided by 16 = n, I said the average was n.

@feminist, lol i swear we have the same answers. yup it was n

pretty sure polar coordinate was last one 13pi / 4
I got 1 for the period and finding f(100)

43 answered, 7 omit

Still seem to be having time difficulties as six of the omissions were in the last ten problems.

I skipped ahead with like twenty seconds to the height/ball one and answered 2.5 seconds, but I probably missed what the question was asking because I was rushed, so 1 second makes sense if it asked “how long after the max height.”. Too easy for the last question, I should’ve known.

I also got 34 for the parallelogram one. Because of the side lengths it was almost an isosceles triangles, so just assumed it was since it asked for an estimate.

Anyway, I’m praying for a 750+ but there’s a chance I’ll be in the low 700’s…

Average scale:
[SparkNotes: SAT Subject Test: Math Level 2: Math IIC Scoring](<a href=“SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides”>SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides)

I’ll be somewhere in the range of 700 - 780

If I could even get in the 25th percentile at MIT (a 760), I think that would help tremendously, as all my other sats are much stronger.

does anyone know the answer to the 6 milliliters every 4 hours question?

@feminist & @BasedGod2200

average of 16 numbers = (4a+4b+4c+4e)/16 = (a+b+c+d)/4. Why was this n? Was it just given that a+b+c+d was n? I can’t remember.

I put 18.3 for 6 milliliter question - i think that was a choice.
I put 1 second for last question

Does anyone still have the dog age functions in their calculator? I want to try the problem again.

I plugged in numbers so answer was “=n”

@MelzidEril

that one was I and II right?

@MelzidEril
Dog question: I put first two right and last one wrong

I got n for the a b c d average as well, forget details.

On the 6ml every 4 hrs it was like 6, 10.5, then continuing to multiply by .75 and add 6, so on the 5th it would’ve been 18.3. Which if I remember correctly, that’s what I put.

Yeh I also put I and II right for the dog one, rush rush rushed tho, so not overly confident.

@coolkid555
Like RickyRoma, I put that after 5 doses, they’d be 18.3 mL left

yes, I put I and II for dog - that one was tedious - was there any shortcut?

@rickyroma yeah it was 18.3 :D

@melzideril well i realized that the formula they gave is also equivalent to the mean, so i answered that in like 10 seconds. lol sorry, didnt have any work for that.

for the dog age function, i got I and II. i’m not 100% sure though

What was the dog age question…??

@RickyRoma
I got (1, 13pi/4) for polar, too
