**Official June 2014 SAT II Math 2 Thread**

Hawkace - interesting. We have until Wednesday to decide whether or not to cancel the scores. DC got a 2300 in the May SAT test - could have done better in the math (got 750 with only one wrong and one not answered as ran out of time), but probably couldn’t expect to improve much if at all in the Writing score (790 - although with only a 9 for the essay which could be bettered, it was a cringe-worthy effort) and CR (760). Just really worried that some schools will see the SAT II math score (which is going to be horrific) if we don’t cancel it, and say “hmmmm”. Especially as DC has nowhere near the kind of EC’s that others have been racking up. I’m also doubtful that DC could have done that well on the Physics test despite what DC says, did ZERO revision or review of formulas or ANYTHING, too busy with IB deadlines. The 3rd subject test is the only one I’m SURE would probably be an 800 . But thanks for giving us food for thought - I will definitely look carefully into this now. DC will definitely improve with practice on the maths II for Oct test, is capable of getting an 800 if can get around the time issue. And same for Physics if the score for today’s test isn’t as great as hoped…

Did anyone else think this test was crazy hard? I did all the barrons tests and i thought some of the questions on the real exam were harder than some of the weird ones on the barrons tests! does that mean there’ll be a more generous curve?

I definitely thought it was easier than the practice exams I had taken and the ones from previous years.
My guess is that the curve for a 800 will be -4 wrong at the most.
Also, please do NOT discuss any questions or answers here. I hope you’re all reminded that you signed a legally binding contract, when you took the SAT 2 Math II exam today, and thus agreed to not disclose or discuss the test’s questions. It’s possible that the people who are viewing that link up there may have their scores cancelled, as their IP addresses can be obtained by CollegeBoard.

@juicygirl I don’t think it was crazy hard. It was definitely easier than Barron’s. I have no idea what the curve will be

… Did we take different tests? I took Math II and got none of the questions you guys seem to be posting on the doc…

@lasyat‌ Same here! I don’t know anything on that doc.
Anyways, what do you all think of the test? How many did you omit? What do you think the curve will be?

@juicygirl‌ I thought the last few were hard. I hope there’s a big curve!

I ommited 7… am expecting to get 5 wrong---- hope thats still a 750+

I omitted 3. It was quite a bit easier than Barron’s. I wish I had more time, because I might have been able to get those last 3 with a few more minutes.

Someone should make a new doc

The google doc is really messed up because someone keeps deleting it - so I have a different plan

<a href=“Live video chat rooms, simple and easy. - Tinychat”>Live video chat rooms, simple and easy. - Tinychat;

Discuss each question in here

Someone who is willing to stay in the chat and make a google doc that only he/she can edit should take each question and compile the most likely answer

@Cosmological‌ same here! I was really rushing the last 3 or 4

WAAAIIITT…you guys thought this test was harder than Barrons!!! Maybe I took the wrong test, but to me this test was SO much easier than Barrons. In the Barrons, I never finished a full test, but in the one today, I finished with an extra 5-7 minutes left, and didn’t omit any. Though there were a couple tricky problems, there wasn’t anything particularly advanced (imop).

I’m hoping for an 800, since the curve is quite gracious, but I guess I’ll just have to wait and see. Best wishes for everyone else who took this test today! If you put in the hours studying and got good scores on practice tests, then you definitely deserve a great score on the test today.

@AngEverlasting I wasn’t really rushing the last 3 or 4. I skipped 3 throughout, and one of them happened to be a the end.
