****OFFICIAL JUNE 2014 SAT MATH II THREAD****

@LAMuniv Why are you taking both? I think colleges only count one kind of math subject test, because Math2c is basically the same as 1c except with trig/precal in it. So I would see it as a waste of time. I would just do one on whatever you’d do better on.

As for order (if you still want to take both). Maybe 2c first so 1 seems even easier. Plus it’ll allow you to get rid of the harder one first

@Zeppelin7 Just in case I happen to do better on math I than math II. I’ve also taken chemistry and will be taking lit in October, so I don’t plan on sending two math scores to fulfill the 2 subject test requirement.

Thanks for your input :)

So if you manage to score in the mid 700s on a Barron’s model test, is that a good indicator that you’ll do well enough on the actual test?

I hope so. I’ve been getting 730-770’s on the Barron’s, with 800’s on a lot of other tests.

According to various anecdotes, that seems to be the case.

I keep scoring around 700s on the Petersons practice tests, so hopefully that should be enough to carry me to at least a 700 on the real thing.

Never done Peterson’s.

All of the tests I’ve done vary in difficulty a lot, which is quite annoying because I don’t know which scores to trust.

I know, right? My scores have been all over the place and so I’m not quite sure what to expect on test day…

let’s believe in ourselves and do our best! :D

Yup. Good luck everyone.

For taking multiple SAT II’s is there a specific order you should take them in or do you get to choose which to do first?

I’m just taking the math. Aren’t there directions on your ticket?

I double checked but the ticket doesn’t say anything about it.

That’s weird. I’m supposing a google search didn’t turn up anything either?

I heard that we get to choose which one to take first. I’m taking physics first then Math II…

i think you can choose what you want to do

It sucks that you can’t come late if you’re only doing one test, after you sleep in.

do you guys think this math 2 will be harder than the one in may?

Easier. Whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing is up to you, because the curve is going to be harder, but there was a 8 question curve in May. Chances of that repeating are slim to none.

do you know why? I thought the june sat math 2 was like the January math 2 which was supposed to be hard

What do you mean?
