let's post question!!!

I had an essay question asking about whether the past is useful for the future...I think.

I thought all the math sections, including #3, were very easy... If anyone has any questions, just ask me. ;)

i had the essay over memories and their influence...i talked about strict and loose interpretation of the constitution and then like..burning my fingers or something.

Maybe I misunderstood her on the phone. Or she forgot. So she might have meant Section 3 Math. (Anyone have a Section 2 Math?) My student said she did not do the last three questions (and she's normally strong in Math). Was it that tough?

The essay questions for the SAT are invariably way gay. I had the one about whether the past and one's recollection of it are useful for the future too. Can we ask about specific questions on the test yet?

i think i had the same test as you, kanita. did u also a double passage about cowboys? i found math overall to be okay but i thought section 3 was extremely difficult...i completely bombed it. critical reading was okay--the cowboy one and the haiku were very straightforward and i think i got them all correct. the mr h faking a painting was decent...maybe missed one or two. but i found the intelligent life one really really hard....what did u get for #1? w/ def of intelligence?

What about the Japanese Poetry? I had trouble about the one dealing with Lines 13-16 or something...I remember the question asked about the tone of it I think, and a couple of the answers were cynical and monotonous.

i think we're allowed to post now.

yes! the embargo is off... shoot away

The questions over the children of the Civil Rights guy..I didn't like those questions.

i had section 2 math but i don't think it was really difficult.

I had a writing experimental. It was easier than the original writing section. And I think I had something about past memories and success for my essay.

do they have different tests for different time zones? or is it just random?

I had a math experimental for the third time taking the SAT. Meh. Not a big deal. So... Is the correct idiom truly "opposition for"? As in "opposition for some guy's opinion"? That sounded so odd to me so I marked it wrong... but I couldn't think of the correct idiom, and I still can't.

lola-cho,

I think it should be "opposition to" (and possibly "opposition of").

Saptor

The answer to the question you're reffering to was cynical. If you were attentive, you would have noticed that one of the questions later on said something about how the cynicism of the speaker could be best dispproved... or something like that.

What did you guys get for the math grid in for the box of 9 thingys..was it 15..i think i got that, and the trapazoid I got 6??

Darn I switched it to monotonous because I wasn't sure...there were a few seconds to spare and I saw something that had to do with lack of expression a sentence or so before the one suggested.

What did people get for the set problem on the grid-in? It was in the math experimental version.
