Official June SATII Chemistry Thread

6 wrong would be a raw score of 73, wouldn’t it? 80 - 6 - 1.5 which gets rounded up to 73 from 72.5?

it starts at 85

oops i wasn’t aware of that. sorry.

I’m sorry to sound really stupid here, but can someone tell me what the hydrocarbon question was; I know I answered it, but I don’t remember it at all; I’m assuming I just flew past it because from what you guys are saying, I gather it was fairly simple, but does anyone know (word for word or close to if possible) what the question was?

What did you guys get for this TTCE question?
In HCL, CL has -1 oxidation number, and Cl forms stable Cl2… I put TT but not TTCE…

@nirvana that’s what I put.

@nirvana, that’s exactly what i put and i was confident on that one.

I put TT on that one too.

Yeah, TT, that chlorine is a diatomic molecule has nothing to do with it’s oxidation number in HCl.

Yep, definitely just T/T.

DId anyone cancel their scores

not me. i’m pretty confident that i’ll do well.

Scores are out!! 800!!! very pleasantly surprised because I thought I got 750-780, but I guess the curve was nice

800!!! So happy! I had thought I had done well, but this exceeded my expectations by a lot.

Curve was definitely generous on this. I’m pretty sure I got a lot of wrong answers and it was the result I was most dreading.

I agree with everyone else; the curve was beautiful this time. I was going into the result with at least 2 questions wrong, and so was expecting at most a 780/790.

@Harrovian, what did you get on french?

The curve was so lenient this year. Even though I only got a 700, I thought I got a lot wrong.

I got an 800 as well. Very surprised. Hope it’s not a mistake Haha

800 too. I knew I got atleast 3 or 4 wrong, so this curve is amazing
