How do you check if you are admitted to IBE?
after you make your portal account, click the portal link thats in your application decision box and log in with your new info. on the new portal click Admitted@Lehigh and in the top left box it says “Congratulations! Welcome to the Integrated Business and Engineering Program”. @greekfreak34
@chel17 - The Marching 97 is so much fun! My DS is a Junior and has loved his time with the band. They are a really nice group of young people and yes they are psyched about the invite for NYE in London. Congratulations. The nice thing is they go off to band camp prior to Freshmen Orientation so he will have an opportunity to meet some really nice people before school even starts. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions that my son can answer for you
@chel17 - Congratulations to you and your son! I am the parent of a Lehigh Senior D graduating in eight short weeks! I am in southern CA so if you have any questions re travel, planning, general Lehigh questions, etc. feel free to ask!
Congrats to all those accepted, it is a wonderful school. My D has enjoyed her four years there. She’ll be moving to NYC over the summer but plans to go back to visit Lehigh during the fall.
How do you check financial aid/scholarships?

I have no proprietary information, but I have the impression that Lehigh really wants to admit students who want to come to Lehigh. I have a feeling that a component of the decisions may be an assessment of whether they think the student will actually attend. If that is true, then strong candidates who are waitlisted may have a good chance to be admitted if they make it clear that they want to go on the waiting list, and that they do want to attend Lehigh, if admitted.

I am having trouble viewing my financial aid award. In fact, their is no link that says “view financial aid award” at all.
DD was waitlisted. (?!)
She was accepted at Cornell, but waitlisted at Lehigh? Go figure.
4.0 GPA UW
35 ACT
1520 SAT
Salutatorian of her class of over 600 students
I think it is true that Lehigh includes demonstrated interest in their decision: DD had not visited before applying. I have trouble understanding any other reason she was waitlisted.
Accepted to College of Arts and Sciences
3.89 GPA UW, 4.2 W
29 ACT
1310 SAT
7 APs
EIC of school newspaper, secretary of NHS, involved in theater as well
My D was wait listed.
33 ACT
99 GPA
AP Classes
Lots of ECS including a research project at a local university.
Good Solid Essay
Excellent recommendations.
Interest shown- Visited the university TWICE.
FWIW, she was accepted to the following:
U of Michigan- Honors
U of Maryland-Honors
SUNY Binghamton- School of Managament.
Northeastern
BU
Best of luck to all.
@Motodile Can you take a screenshot where to find if you got into IBE. I have tried multiple times to enter my username/password on the portal (portal.lehigh.edu) after setting up my new account and I don’t see anything with information about IBE or College of Business and Economics (which I expressed interest to) or financial aid, or merit… or anything-- except congratulations I was accepted. The website is really funky.
Did they say “we strongly encourage you to accept your place on our waitlist”? Trying to determine if that’s their standard language or a good sign.
@OCNYmom My DD is also waitlisted. She has 2400 SAT (one sitting), 800s for Math2 and Chem. ~4.3UW/~4.7W GPA with 11 APs (all hard core ones from both STEM and LA subjects). Captain of her varsity sport team. Volunteered at local children’s hospital, held paid job since she could drive. She visited, talked to the reps when they were at her school. Emailed them. Her Why Lehigh essay was very good in my opinion since I remembered it out of all other essays. She also applied at the beginning of October. We are full pay, and due to our other limitations, she only applied to schools in the same time zone (probably 1 outlier because of potential merit consideration). Many top 15 schools were removed from her list after visit because of fit. Yet Lehigh stayed due to its proximity to home, reasonable engineering program and potential merit scholarship (her stats should put her at the very top of Lehigh’s applicant pool). Her applications would not have any major flaws either since she has been accepted to all of the top engineering schools (GIT, uMichigan, UVA, and more) for which she applied. She is looking for merit scholarship rather than prestige. She already have full pay merit from our in-state, several other attractive merit offers. Since she actually likes Lehigh, and if Lehigh offers merit, she will seriously consider it. I felt that Lehigh didn’t give her application a fair review. They just determined she wasn’t going to come given her stats and waitlisted her. I understand that Lehigh has a need to do certain things to keep its yield in check. But we also paid application fee and spent good amount of efforts preparing the application package. I felt that the school didn’t provide a fair trade and did an injustice to a HS student who actually liked their school. My DS is coming up next who will potentially have stronger academic records, and he won’t be looking at Lehigh
That being said, Lehigh is history now. Congratulations to all accepted students!!! You all did well!! <:-P
Yesterday was not a good day for results but my daughter is very happy with the choices she has so far. Waitlisted at Lehigh (showed a lot of interest), waitlisted at W & L, and waitlisted at American. She has been accepted to Rutgers (honors), UDel (honors), Gettysburg (highest scholarship), Loyola (highest scholarship), Dickinson (small scholarhship), Rensselaer (scholarship), TCNJ (small scholarship), and Villanova. Rejected to Johns Hopkins, UVA. Still waiting to hear from UPenn (legacy twice) and George Washington. ACT: 30, Class Rank: 6/550, very well rounded with tons of EC including theatre and MVP of varsity sports team.
