****Official March SAT Thread****

chuci, the SAT is a reasoning exam that tests your English Writing, English Reading Passage Comprehension, and Math abilities. An SAT score is required by nearly every college in the US. It's available once a month, you can sign up on College Search - SAT Registration - College Admissions - Scholarships , and it costs around 40 dollars.

^^It's actually available for 7 times throughout the whole year.

Is the second practice test in the blue book normally harder than average? Because if it isn't, I'm royally screwed. 12 frigging questions wrong on CR! You know what frustrates me the most? Half of those questions are the result of going against my first decision, which, lo and behold, is the right answer!

And I don't get how looking over your answers and the real answers can help me. I don't get how people can identity patterns. I mean, CR is TOO BROAD!!!

Maybe I just answered myself?

For crying out loud... Just when I've realized that I've found a method to boost my CR score... I knew the previous practice tests I took had too simple CR questions...

I don't really remember any details about the second BB test, but if it was more difficult, it still should only vary by 10 +/- points... It's not going to be that more harder than an average practice test.

lol, i just started practicing for the essay ...

Anyone have any premeditated essay examples handy for tomorrow?

ThatOneStudent, I looked at how many I missed on exam 2, and I missed a lot more than usual on that one. It was particularly tough in CR.

Who's Ready for this?

THIS IS SPARTA!!!!!!

Good luck to you all!

I won't be able to sleep, I know it. :(

But good luck everyone!

I am SCARED! MY FIRST SAT that is counting (since I took one in middle school when it was 1600).

=( nervous!

But hey what the hay. il get into a college. bringin gatorade for the grueling task ;-)

THIS ISSS SPAATAAAAA

^dude... i thought it was "sparta" not "spata" lol. mebbe thats how u pronounce it with a gangster accent...

bringing propel and kudos bars

tomorrow is the big day...good luck everyone...i hope your hard work pays off!

^ I wouldn't call it hard work lol. I started studying 2 weeks ago ... so yeah.

Anyways this is my 2 cents on tests (it may help you)

If the test is easy, I will dominate.
If the test is a beast, I am Beowulf.
I am a guerilla fighter,
And I am ready.

thanks.
and yeah it is "sparta" but u cant yell "SPAARRRRRRTAA" ...thats not how butler did it =D

Lemon-Lime Gatorade all the way.

How about everyone post one last simple but important suggestion?

Here's mine:
Always follow the "If...were" construction, not the "If...was"
Ex. If I were prepared, I wouldn't be nervous.

just gunna bring a gatorade, and try to take on the test head on.

Pretty nervous, i don't think i prepped enough. First test, jesus christ i hope i get atleast a 1800..

Servedin nice idea even though we have very little time :(!!!

But mine is, make sure to compare two of the same things while in error id or fix the sentence. Ex, you should compare my tests to your tests not my test to you.

it's snowing here, and supposed to be 3-6 inches by morning. what happens? do the tests get canceled? I don't see anything on CB about it!?

nvm i see the list of closings
my center isn't there yet but some places around here are so ahhhh
i just want to get this over with

Monitor this CB site:

SAT Test Center Closings

on the barrons practice tests i am scoring so low.
