<p>got 8/11 too... but I am not that well in math and often make stupid joe bloggs mistake</p>

<p>it had to be 8/11.
(4/3-1)/(4/3-7/8) = (1/3)/(11/24) = 8/11</p>

<p>in 49 its between 21/24 and 32/24 ... both inclusive... so thats 12 possibilities out of which 9 are > or = to 1... so 9/12 = 3/4</p>

<p>Here's how I worked the 7/8 and 4/3
(I'm using only "="s where it should be lesser than or equal to)
7/8 = x = 4/3
21/24 = x = 32 / 24
21 = 24x = 32</p>

<p>For x greater than equal to 1,
we have {x:x=24,25,26,27,28,29,30,31,32}
from a total of {21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,30,31,32}</p>

<p>9/12 = 3/4 (i think that's what i went for)

<p>it's not just 9 possibilities. there is an infinite number of possibilities in that x could take ANY value between 7/8 and 4/3. therefore, you can't just say that there are 12 total possible answers and 9 over or equal to 1.</p>

<p>I do not concur with you... meylani prepared me pretty well.. its a ofcourse far more difficult than the real thing.. but when I took the test I was very confident and knew everything</p>

<p>yeah true...I guess its varies from person to person. I just took the real SAT II practice test and the kaplan practice tests and I think I got an 800 today</p>

<p>yeah.. i got really frustrated w/ meylani because i'd never finish and i'd end up getting 24398 wrong. it was good practice but not realistic at ALL.</p>

<p>but for 49 - yeah i think since theres infinite possibilites for x, you can't really count out the possibilites for x.. i think? iono that was the last problem i did so i was rushing through that.</p>

<p>also -i hope the curve is good for this test. last time i got a 790, so this time i retook it and i HAVE to get an 800. or i will look very very stupid.</p>

<p>Gosh, I think I was stupid to try using the Barron's. I get super fustrated if I can't finish the exam and get tons wrong... so I had much less motivation to try practice tests, which is why I barely even took any. And that is why today, I didn't have time to finish the entire test 'cause I didn't have a realistic taste on how to pace myself. I guess the idea of Barron's only works for some people, and not for me.</p>

<p>****es me off... going to get a 710ish score. Hopefully it is like the SAT II Chem test I took earlier where I estimated 690 but got 770, but I doubt it. I remember this one too well and I know exactly which ones I got wrong... at least ones discussed here. So might even have missed easier ones like an idiot. Blah.</p>

<p>damn sorry man...I'm usually punctual with all that...it was just these last two days I was cramming for physics cuz I ahd to take 3 sat IIs in one day. anyway, the pass is satunlock...lol this is the first time I've posted it on forums.</p>
