No, you haven't failed your life. A 760IIC should be in the range for MIT, and it definitely shouldn't discourage you from applying Caltech as well.

M1st3rmarbl3s, and so it has for many people :)

Doesn't MIT want an 800 for every student who takes MIIc? well, that's what most people say.. hahahaha even though I don't believe them!
God, what am I talking about.. hahaha because of you I just got too hyper just by the fact that I can actually just apply to MIT and still be kinda ok with it lol
What about chem? i got a 730 and I do know that this forum is not for chem but still, just curious...

i got a 770 on my first try. dammit. i omitted 8 hahah.

I don't know about Chem and its curve, but most important thing to know: scores aren't everything. And it's a cliche, and it's repeated over and over, but nobody believes it anyway.

Check with the MIT forum. Mollie and Ben are probably much more knowledgeable in this area, and Olo (Timur) too.

umm if you're a humanities person who happens to (usually!) be good at math, does a 780 look bad to top colleges??? (such as yale, princeton, etc.).. i'm a sophomore btw, do they take that into account??

I got an 800 on math IIC (i have no clue how I got it...I thought I did very bad...but apparently the SAT gods smiled down at me) BUT I only got a 710 on math I (i thought I did really well on that...but i must have made careless errors). The 710 is a decrease from the first time I took the SAT MAth 1C ( got a 720- 1st time. Will the 710 hurt me a lot?????
The 800 on math 2 was recieved on 1 try.

you already got the 800 for math 2 don't worry
you are a genius
hahahahahah
(bow)
i only got a 760... and i consider it a great score!
well, because i never learned good math in this school

random: ur talking about the curve for SAT I math, whichi is 1 wrong, 790(wha thappened to me)
SAT II math is far more generous. U can miss up to 6 or leave 7 blank for an 800

I got 710 on Math 2, so I'm happy.

750...i'm proud of it considering i omitted about 9 questions and probably missed a bunch...

M1st3rmarbl3s,

what TI-89 functions, programs, etc. are helpful on Math 2?

Any graphing calculator helps. I did almost half of the test on my calculator and I finished 5 minutes early.

i got an 800 :)
