It is basically testing you whether you know what kind of equations are even.

haha ya i had to graph all those cuz i got confused

x^5-3x^3+x = 0
(-x)^5-3(-x)^3+(-x) = -x^5+3x^3-x = 0, multiply both sides by -1, tada.So GPA's answer is correct.

I thought it was x^5 something? And yeah I substituted -x and factored out negative 1.

What was choice A of that question?

It was DEFINTELY (E).

I used my TI89 to plug in -x for x. I made sure I wrote (-x)^whatever not -x^whatever. I got E. Also, it said which has same solutions if even.

Awww... so that's 2 wrong already. Is that a 800? >"<

Anyone remember any other questions? Especially the ones from questions 31-50?

raw score of 44/50 is usually 800, so if you only got 2 wrong, you are definitely getting an 800.

if u didnt omit any, hell yeah bro. you can afford to get a couple more wrong for an 800

i think i have a problem...i answered every single one...

Anyone remembers the cylinder one?

The set of 7 numbers I picked to insert 2 5's.

For the probability one I picked 0.725725725 or its equivalent in fraction. I think that might be wrong... >"<

It said which of the following has the same solutions if f(-x)=f(x).
x^5-3x^3+x has root at x=0.
-x^5+3x^3-x=0 has roots at -1.22 and -1.
E had the same solutions, not B.

i remember the cylinder problem, but not the answer

yes, the set adding 5's is correct

yeah i inserted two 5's as well.

cylinder one was pretty simple, i don't remember what i put though.

GPA is wrog. You cannot multiply by a -1. Didn't you learn that if =0, that if you multiply/divide first you change the roots.

it was just a matter of plugging in example numbers

I plugged in number for cylinder one. XD Princeton Review's cheap way~

Lewis they are equivalent statements. Factor out a -1.

from what i remember, solutions dont mean, roots; its just whatever # u plug in u get the same answer.

idk, that problems kinda rigged
