<p>800 Writing/770 Reading/680 Math non superscore for a total of a 2250. I want to be a scientist, and I’m great at calculus b/c (A+ in the class and an outstanding rec from my calc teacher), but I had to self-teach all my precalc knowledge. Do I have a shot at MIT or Caltech or Harvey-Mudd? I know that math is low (I’m working to get it up), but will the other high scores help compensate? Thanks</p>

<p>neuromajor thats a great score. Yes, your math score is low and thats a disadvantage for MS tech schools. Yes, it helps that you aced the other sections. </p>
<p>Realize that admission to those schools is very though and you need something more that just test scores. By all means, try to get your math score up but also consider getting a tech degree at a non tech school as it may play to your strengths.</p>

First time. I feel incredibly unsatisfied. Idk if I should retake it to superscore 2400. Writing is my best subject, so Idk what happened. I would retake, but I don’t want to sit through 4 hours of torture again.</p>
<p>I got my subject scores today (from Arizona - not too sure if that is a factor). 800 Bio M and 800 Chem (took Math II last year - 800). So far all my 3 subject tests have been perfects! Hopefully, this streak carries to my SAT I!
