---Official May 3rd Sat Thread---

Point of view of May was an adult reflecting on a time in her childhood.

Damn I got a bunch of critical reading wrong ... what are the chances we get a decent curve?

At least math seemed easy. Anyone else willing to bet 20 dollars (80 gumballs) they got 800 math?

Hiaarabot thats what i put to. The blurb helped on that one.

what did people get for the 20 20 30 class elction

^cheers for the winners. everyone disagreed with me

class election/ was that a real question? i dnt remember it...

oh and GR! shoulda read the blurb =[

What did you believe it was?

did you say may delibrately avoided the snakes?

i said child reflecting experiences away from home

no they didnt phaze her

ps do u think the curve will be generous =[

i only got 1 math one wrong... and i was reading earlier posts about the play the answer choice with satirical was def not right it was the one with genres in it

The snakes did not phase her. Deliberately avoided implies she is afraid or does not like, a stereotypical "girl" behavior: something the passage says she and the others were not prone to. E.g., the bugs/snakes did not bother her.

Seriouslywow, I am pretty sure the choice was Satirical / Denizens. The play clearly mocked (satirized) the movie/theater industry, and the list of important characters within (producers, etc) can certainly be considered a list of the denizens of the industry.

i really hope that the critical reading one is

my expectations
math curve WILL be brutal like -1 770

critical reading normal and NOT generous
writing--brutal

satirical is more sarcastic than mocking what was the first word in front of genre

for 2nd problem the circus short passage,

does anyone remember what the answer choice (d) (if I remember right) said?

I thought answer choice (d) talked about how the guy (who ran the circus) had progressive and innovative impulses and I chose that answer

I realized that everyone chose either the "financial" or the "adults" choice.

Am I the only one?

There should be for CR cuz it was pretty hard. Did you guys get a few of the same answers in a row like a or c for the writting w/ 35 questions?

in the may passage it says they STEADILY IGNORED the snakes. This corresponds with delibrately ignoring the snakes.no?

gashawnerso was an answer choice like her phazing something to? If so I picked that

kaibop

I also chose that one...it just seemed to me to be least wrong at the time...but 4 hours of testing can obscure the thought process
