is there any truth to the rumors that the may test is an easier curve versus the march test?

I would be willing to believe it. I remember that the critical reading section was particularly hard, especially compared to what I remember from the test I took last year (Took tests in May 2007 and 2008). Yes, CR is my worst score, but I do think the test was harder this time around, and thus I would think an easier curve would be reasonable.

And heyyyyy? How are some of you guys seeing your essay scores already? They told me my detailed score report and essay are only available March 31...

Although I suppose it doesn't matter to me, because I know I got a 12 essay because of my perfect writing score =D
But do some people get their essays back sooner than others?

Math curve was easier than march I know that because I got 780 with one wrong in may and my friend got 770 in march with one wrong.

Can't comment on the other curves

lol. not really a 9 and an 80mc can get u an 800 lol.

but GRR!

i thought all SAT q's were worth the same amount of points too..... how is this fair!?

^ no course not. thats why there are curves. and plus you have many more CR questions than Writing or M questions. so obviously theyre not worth the same

Math: 720
Critical Reading: 710
Writing: 800

1430, 2230

Writing: 78-80 MC + 9 on essay = 770

how does everyone know what they got on their essays. collegeboard wont let me see the score report

STILL haven't gotten my scores.

Registered through standby, but i was told I'd get the results in my collegeboard account.

guess I need to wait until the first week of Jun and see if I get it through mail.

sigh

the pains of waiting ... and not knowing my result which is out there somewhere.

Critical Reading: 670
Math: 650
Writing: 800 (11 essay)
Total: 2120

How did you guys prep for the math and reading sections? I thought I'd done well on the math, but apparently not...

Meh. I hate the SAT.

I'm retaking the SATs in October since I got a 1930, only studied at home now and then. Do I have a better chance to improve my score if I take an SAT prep class? I want to get up to a 2100...is this a realistic goal?

yeah that's definitely a realistic goal. just prep the entire summer. or try to haha.
