The thing that sucks is most of us were considered "shoo ins" by our friends, family, and teachers, so believe me, i know exactly how you guys are feeling. <p>I just got the deferral letter. I feel completely fine now, though! This is all over and I can deal with it. I thought about it today and I realized that even if I don't get into MIT, it may be a good thing. For example, I can't stay awake at night very well and at MIT I'd have to pull allnighters to survive. Also, we all have about a 15% chance now to get in RD. Don't forget 15% of us will get in, but this time a lot of the super-applicants from EA are gone, so it's really higher than that.</p>
<p>But now I will work on Stanford's app (due tonight) and then make another best effort on MIT later.</p>
