I’m not sure…but I am noticing a lot of rejections this year…
My dad says he called the admissions asking about it, but that’s almost 1/3 of last year’s rate.

@AbootCanada Then i’m wondering how NU would fill the class with RD applicants:( we will see

Heyo kids,

As a freshman in Weinberg (econ/env. sci double major) and proud trumpet in NU Marching Band, I want to welcome everyone who’s been admitted to the purple family! If you didn’t get in, don’t worry about it because you’ll find the place for you. But if you did get in, and you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask me via fb (Cooper Wetherbee). Coming to NU (I was an ED admit too) has been the single best decision of my life to this point, and I love everything here, except the weather! Best of luck to those of you starting your NU journey next fall, and also to those bound for other destinations.

-Cooper

Thanks! I hope I get to meet you next year!

Freaking out because I applied ED but did not get an email from admissions. Are they are out? Waiting patiently! Help!

@fishpod
This happened to my son’s classmate. He called but was told he needed to wait for the snail mail letter (accepted ED). Check your spam mail to see if it’s there. Make sure admissions has your correct email address. Then you can try calling but you may be told the same thing.

Thank you CCMom2U! Will call!

I saw on the other thread that someone listed they were waitlisted. Is this different than deferred? How is that explained in the decision letter?

You don’t get waitlisted in the ED round. That was a case of incorrect wording by the poster. Deferral is the proper term for the ED round. ED decisions are either accept, defer or deny. RD decisions can be accept, waitlist or deny.

The official fb page keeps rejecting my request to join. is it because i haven’t changed my school on the profile yet? Does anyone else have this problem?

McCormiccckkkkkkk…I’m coming for you :D

To everyone who was accepted, congratulations. Appreciate the hell out of that spot. I don’t want to be “that guy” who kills all the positive vibes in the thread but you’re going to be living someone’s dream, don’t waste it.

To everyone who was rejected, I am living your pain right now. I can’t comprehend why so many clearly worthy applicants were denied this year, but all I can offer is the knowledge that we will all be better off elsewhere, and it’s ultimately their loss, even if it doesn’t seem that way right now.

Congrats again, I wish those who got in the best at NU.

Very well said, Microbe. Good luck for your future!

Just got an acceptance email! I am extremely surprised and excited to say the least, because I know there are thousands who didn’t get in who had better resumes than I did. That said, I’ll definitely heed microbe’s advice on making sure I don’t waste this amazing opportunity.

is anyone else here doing pre med?

@afroalabama I’m also having that issue. Can anyone who’s in the group add us?

I think I’m in both the official and unofficial pages now. When joining it does this weird thing where it says that your request is still pending. But you are still able to like and comment and whatnot. I don’t know what FB’s problem is.

I still didn’t get my result yet… is anyone having the same problem as me? I am so stressed!

if you do premed, was there something in the app that you had to choose? or is that when you register for classes, you choose the premed track courses? bc i would like to do that for sure
